AUDIO OBSCURA & HIGHSNOBIETY PRESENT THE PREMIERE OF: PRAISE AT DE NIEUWE KERK WITH HONEY

AND ZO!

GOSPEL CHOIR

On Friday October 24th, during Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 and in honor of Amsterdam 750, Audio Obscura takes a new step in its tradition of groundbreaking shows, presenting the world premiere of PRAISE – Honey Dijon x ZO! Gospel Choir at De Nieuwe Kerk.

Pre-registration for tickets to this unique event is now open via Audio Obscura’s official pre-registration page at audio-obscura.com.

The event marks the first time in its more than 600-year history that the historic national monument will be transformed into a venue for electronic music, with Audio Obscura the only organization trusted to undertake the task. With previous events like the nowlegendary Highway Rave and its party in the bicycle tunnel under the famed Rijksmuseum, Audio Obscura has already demonstrated how electronic music can take on a new dimension in unexpected places.

The choice of De Nieuew Kerk fits seamlessly into this tradition and marks another milestone in Amsterdam’s cultural tradition.

The unique location provides the perfect setting to host the world premiere of a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between internationally acclaimed DJ Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir, one of the Netherlands’ leading vocal ensembles. The choir is known for its energetic renditions of soul, R&B and gospel, and has previously collaborated with artists such as Diana Ross, Kamasi Washington and Gregory Porter.

Honey Dijon is considered one of the most influential voices in electronic music worldwide. Born and raised in Chicago, the birthplace of house music, she became an icon thanks to her inimitable blend of house,

techno, and disco. Besides her status as a beloved DJ and producer, she is known for her outspoken engagement with fashion, art, and activism. She has performed at the world's biggest clubs and festivals, and continues to champion diversity and inclusivity within the music scene.

The evening opens with DJ Juliana X, who blends her Brazilian background and Rotterdam roots into an energetic mix of Chicago house, Detroit techno, and unexpected influences such as eurodance and acid.

DJ Juliana X is followed by Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir, who take the audience on a captivating journey of music, choreography, and dance. Expect an hour of pure energy where gospel and electronic music amplify one another, culminating in a collective experience like no other.

Stefanos Constantinou, VP, brand partnerships and general manager from Highsnobiety said: "Collaborating with Audio Obscura was a natural fit. They’re an events production powerhouse, creating unforgettable experiences that resonate perfectly with our Highsnobiety audiences. It’s an exciting partnership, and one we’re confident will continue to grow in the years ahead.”

According to Peter Kan, founder of Audio Obscura, added: “Teaming up with Highsnobiety allows us to amplify our shared vision of pushing cultural boundaries and create a global cultural moment that radiates hope, positivity and unity.”

PARIS, FRANCE'S FVTVR IS BACK!

ANNOUNCES ITS AUTUMN 2025 LINE-UP

After a successful 2025 season that caught everyone's attention, FVTVR is back. A daring new chapter begins, establishing Paris not only as a

part of Europe’s Techno scene but also as one of its main influences, with the initial lineup for the Autumn 2025 season now revealed.

This autumn, the venue in Paris will host some of the most respected names in underground music along with emerging talent.

Started in 2024, FVTVR was more than just a club. It is a creative space where sound is explored in the deepest and most intricate ways. Designed by the innovative studio Hypnos, its structure combines simple design with advanced features: shaped concrete, sharp lines, and changing lights and shadows.

At its essence is complete immersion. The L-Acoustics sound system, which includes four 12XT speakers and five KS21 subwoofers, surrounds people in a clear and strong sound field where every sound can be felt.

The lighting, designed to move dynamically, switches between deep darkness and quick flashes, turning the area into a dramatic play of shadows and lights. Changing visual art and architectural projections make the experience even more intense.

FVTVR is a place full of passion and boldness. Dancers, artists, and passionate listeners come together in a setting where being genuine is the most important thing.

Its lineup mixes famous international artists, innovative live performances, and the upcoming generation of creative minds into a conversation that goes beyond trends and borders. This season, FVTVR is expanding

with international partnerships, events at some of the world's top clubs (like RSO, Laster, Fold, and more), and new multi-day formats that encourage longer listening, freedom to move, and deep connections. Every residency and takeover is a chance to dive deeper into sound where limits fade away, people connect, and collective movement happens.

The new season started on September 10th, and FVTVR continues to showcase international artists, residencies, and multiday events.

The venue stays a central place for underground music in Paris, giving audiences and artists a platform for creative performances, collaborations, and unique experiences.

The complete autumn schedules will be shared soon, offering a season full of new discoveries and challenging music.

TIKTOK & WARNER

MUSIC STRIKE LANDMARK LICENSING DEAL

In a move that underscores the evolving relationship between music and social media, TikTok has officially finalized a global licensing agreement with Warner Music Group, securing rights to Warner’s full catalog for use across TikTok’s platform.

This groundbreaking deal is set to reshape how artists are paid and discovered in the digital age, reinforcing the growing influence of short-form video as a dominant force in music promotion and fan engagement.

The agreement focuses on fair compensation for artists while expanding music discovery opportunities for both emerging and established talents.

for Warner artists, aligning with TikTok’s push toward creator-first partnerships.

This partnership signals a continued transformation in how the industry values creators and their work.

DANIEL EK TO STEP DOWN AS SPOTIFY CEO IN 2026

Spotify is entering a new era. Co-founder Daniel Ek will step down as CEO on January 1, 2026, after nearly two decades leading the platform he helped build into the world’s largest music streaming service.

Ek isn’t walking away entirely. Instead, he will shift into the role of Executive Chairman, focusing on strategy, investment, and longterm vision. “This change simply matches titles to how we already operate,” Ek said in his announcement.

Taking the helm will be seasoned insiders Gustav Söderström (Product & Tech) and Alex Norström (Business & Content), promoted to co-CEOs. Both have been driving Spotify’s growth behind the scenes for years — from

shaping playlists and user experience to cutting global licensing deals. The move comes as Spotify faces new challenges: tough competition from Apple, Amazon, and YouTube; growing pressure for profitability; and strained relations with artists, some of whom recently pulled their catalogs in protest of Ek’s investments in defense-tech through his firm Prima Materia. Investor reaction was immediate — Spotify shares dropped around 5% following the announcement.

For the music world, Ek’s step back signals more than a leadership change. It’s the end of the “startup rebel” chapter and the beginning of a new, more corporate phase for Spotify. Whether this next track plays out in harmony or dissonance depends on how the co-CEOs balance innovation, profit, and artist trust.

One thing’s clear: Ek may be leaving the driver’s seat, but his fingerprints will remain all over Spotify’s future.

EPIDEMIC SOUND LAUNCHES ADAPT, AN AI-POWERED MUSIC EDITING TOOL

Stockholm-based Epidemic Sound has introduced a new AI-powered music editing tool called Adapt. This tool allows creators to modify licensed tracks made by real artists, such as changing length, removing instruments, and adjusting arrangements, while ensuring that original artists receive compensation and retain publishing rights. The tool only processes human-made music from Epidemic’s catalog.

Currently, 28% of tracks uploaded daily to Deezer are fully AI-generated, marking a significant rise. Epidemic's research shows that 94% of creators believe music is vital for content, but many struggle with audio editing.

The Adapt tool aims to simplify this process. Alongside this launch, Epidemic plans to increase artist bonus payments and has recently acquired a music recognition startup. They are also addressing unclaimed royalties from remixes and covers with a new service called Aentidote.

THE GROUNDBREAKING NEW CREATIVE PLATFORM THAT FUSES ICONIC TR HERITAGE WITH MODERN INNOVATION TO IGNITE THE NEXT ERA OF RHYTHM

ROLAND'S TR-1000 RHYTHM CREATOR

The Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator is a groundbreaking new drum machine built with and for artists to catalyze the next evolution of rhythm culture.

As the latest member of the famous TR lineage, the TR-1000 builds on the legacy of the TR-808 and TR-909 as the first Roland drum machine in over 40 years with true analog voices, coupled with the latest digital sound and sampling technologies and a performance-focused user interface.

From the speaker-rattling boom of the TR808 to the distinctive punch of the TR-909, Roland’s original TR rhythm instruments from the early 1980s have fueled the ambitions of generations of music makers. First embraced by underground creators, TR sounds are now deeply embedded in modern music, forming the backbone of hip-hop and trap, the pulse of techno and house, and the foundational grooves for contemporary pop songs across every genre.

The TR-1000 launches the legendary TR heritage into the future with a bold mission: to inspire a culture hungry for the next wave of rhythmic experimentation.

Musicians and producers can conceive, create, and perform with a range of premium drum sounds, powered by analog, digital, and sampling engines with advanced tone-shaping and layered track architecture. The TR-1000’s analog

engine features 16 of the most coveted circuits from the TR-808 and TR-909, faithfully recreated from the original designs with detailed engineering and carefully selected modern components.

Alongside the TR-1000’s analog voices are powerful digital sounds driven by Roland’s latest advancements, including 21 circuit-bent TR-808 and TR-909 models built with Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, FM percussion, virtual analog

tones, and a deep PCM library for sonic exploration and fresh textures.

Classic TR instruments laid the framework for countless electronic music genres—and when paired with digital sampling, their influence deepened. Comprehensive sample tools are fully integrated into the TR-1000 workflow, including stereo sampling and resampling, BPM sync, seamless time- stretching, and non-destructive

slice editing. The onboard 64 GB memory comes with a curated collection of 2000 samples, with 46 GB free for user captures, edits, and sample imports.

Creators can refine and transform sounds and rhythms with the TR-1000’s rich palette of tactile effects. There’s a new analog state-variable filter (SVF) inspired by vintage Roland OTA designs, a dedicated analog drive, and a wide array of digital processing. Each track combines

a model-specific sound generator, compressor, multimode filter/four-band EQ, and amp/envelope control.

Four of the available tracks allow for two sound generators to be stacked or programmed separately with per-track FX, internal sidechaining, output routing, and a three-target LFO.

The TR-1000’s advanced sequencer expands on the familiar TR workflow with a focus on feel and flexibility.

Users can program sounds fast, perform with intent, and shape rhythms in real time using extensive pattern tools, expressive controls, and new off-grid options to finetune the pocket. An ergonomic panel layout

encourages creative exploration with highgrip knobs and smooth, responsive faders. The new Morph slider allows for radical transformations with simple movements, while the snapshot feature creates playable step buttons that instantly recall any knob position for an instrument.

Made for seamless integration with hybrid configurations, modular rigs, and modern studios, the TR-1000 offers extensive I/O and routing flexibility to support expansive production and performance setups.

The companion TR-1000 App enables hardware control from a computer, providing a large graphical interface for real-time parameter editing, a librarian for organizing sounds, and more.

ROLAND ANALOG, REIMAGINED.

The TR-1000 is the first Roland drum machine with a true analog engine in over 40 years. It features 16 of the most coveted circuits from the TR-808 and TR-909, faithfully recreated from the original designs with detailed engineering and carefully selected modern components. Fusing vintage soul with expanded control, this engine delivers the authentic analog TR sound, boosted with new parameters and vastly expanded dynamic range.

REWRITING THE RULES OF RHYTHM.

Alongside the TR-1000’s analog sounds are powerful digital engines driven by Roland’s latest modeling technology. Our ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) platform provides detailed analog circuit emulations, including 21 circuit-bent 8X and 9X models. Drawing from the 808 and 909, these new voices include quick-access parameters for live shaping and expanded controls that push the sound far beyond the range of conventional analog. You also get FM percussion, virtual analog synthesis, and a deep library of PCM samples for sonic exploration and fresh digital textures.

SAMPLE, STRETCH, SLICE, RESAMPLE.

Classic TR instruments laid the foundations for countless electronic music genres—and when paired with digital sampling, their influence deepened. Comprehensive sample tools are fully integrated into the TR-1000 workflow, including stereo sampling and resampling, BPM sync, seamless time-stretching, and non-destructive slice editing. The onboard 64 GB memory comes with a curated collection of 2,000 samples, with 46 GB free for your own captures, edits, and sample imports.

ANALOG AND DIGITAL EFFECTS.

Refine and transform with the TR-1000’s rich palette of tactile effects. Shape sounds with the new analog state-variable filter (SVF) inspired by classic Roland OTA designs. Add saturated punch using the dedicated analog drive. Color tones with digital favorites like crusher, filter, isolator, saturator, pitch delay, flanger, and more. Enhance the mix with reverb and delay sends for each track, and then add additional flavor and movement with a slate of master effects.

DEEP SOUND DESIGN.

Powerful in-line processing makes it easy to sculpt distinctive and dynamic rhythms with the TR1000. Each track combines a model-specific sound generator, compressor, multimode filter/four-band EQ, and amp/envelope control. Four of the available tracks allow for two independent sound generators to be stacked or programmed separately, complete with per-track FX, internal sidechaining, output routing, and a three-target LFO.

FAT BOY SLIM'S RECORD BOX

IS A CULTURAL ARTEFACT IMMORTALISED IN A PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT

Its more than just a record box, its a symbol of the cultural dj explosion of the 90s and 00s - having literally been around the world many times, at a moment in time when British Dance Culture was at its peak. Norman Cook aka Fat Boy Slim set the standards in electronic music and spearheaded the big beat era for the world to see. "It’s Dance Music history, culture, art in a box." (NC)

"IT’S DANCE MUSIC HISTORY, CULTURE, ART IN A BOX" (NC)

Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, needs little introduction; he is a cultural dance music icon, DJ, producer and Skint music label head.

He is a leading figure who popularised the ubiquitous Big Beat genre throughout the 90s and 00s, a sound that time-stamped the decade and beyond.

An ambassador for "Cool Britannia," he is loyal to his hometown Brighton, bringing his sound to the rest of the world with albums like "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" and singles such as "Praise You" and "The Rockafeller Skank."

Active when vinyl was the only format you needed to DJ, he transported his records across the globe in this very box. Making it inimitable by covering it with all of the stickers and badges he collected along the way. The box has been present at every destination and gig alongside him from the infamous Big Beach Boutique, Australia, Santa Cruz,

Ibiza, Glastonbury, the list is endless. The passion, spirit and detail of this now cultural artifact has been captured visually by British artist Mark Vessey, a rising star in the international art world, best-known for exploring and celebrating icons of contemporary pop culture, he lovingly curates the subjects of his images which include magazines, books and vinyl records that have had special and important significance within the popular cultural heritage of the 20th and 21st Centuries.

"The significance of what Mark does with objects like this is he makes the significance of seemingly everyday objects by photographing them so beautifully and elevating them and putting them on a pedestal and in a frame. He sort of says, this is more than just a bunch of old magazines. This is history here. This is more than just somebody's old records. This is history and their culture and their art. He recognises beauty in the flawed nature of our old possessions." Norman Cook

Norman Cook & Mark Vessey

This new print and photograph follows on from his original artwork entitled "Norman" which showcased the DJ’s inimitable record collection. This new release is designed to complement the original work as part of Normans new book release "It Ain’t Over... ‘Til The Fat Boy Sings" launched to compliment the story.

“I saw Norman’s record box one evening when he was using it to DJ and I was drawn to it straight away. I knew I had to photograph it as I believed it was an important artefact that - in the same way as his vinyl collection - is a unique reflection of Norman. I also thought that the artwork would complement my earlier artwork of Norman’s vinyl collection. The two spoke directly to each other. The vinyl box is completely covered in different layers of stickers from original Keith Haring Pop Shop stickers, Acid House Smilies, to brands such as Stussy and Dior. I’m grateful that Norman has allowed me access to photograph his personal items in such a way that we are all able to get up close to them." Mark Vessey

The piece will be released exclusively through Hang-Up Gallery, one of London’s leading contemporary art spaces. A limited run of prints will be available in three sizes, both in the gallery and online via www.hanguppictures.com.

Rhythms of the Cosmos: The Musical Odyssey of

Cosmic Gate has produced a wealth of acclaimed projects and years of performances across the globe. I was given the opportunity to interview one-half of the duo, Bossi, this summer to sit and listen to a master talk about their legacy. Since their debut single and leading up to the launch of their groundbreaking 2.0 "MOSAIIK" albums, the

COSMIC GATE

Grammy-nominated duo Cosmic Gate has demonstrated an unparalleled musical partnership. A serendipitous meeting in Cologne during the late 1990s set them on the journey to become Germany's most successful electronic music duo. After we exchanged pleasantries and introductions, we set off into a discussion of legacy, admiration, enthusiasm, and music.

Bossi, born Stefan Bossems, has a youthful, jovial speaking voice. Representing one-half of the duo of Cosmic Gate. Along with Claus Terhoeven (also known as Nic Chagall), Bossems hail from Krefeld, Germany. It’s always a warm welcome in greeting and

speaking to, in many words, an icon. Yes, I think ICON is an apt naming convention for their electronica influence, footprint, and musical output. Since the mid-eighties, they have raptured dancefloors, Raves, Lounges, and bedrooms all over the globe. Musing on

the differences between the outgrowth of Hip-Hop in the 80s and 90s in America, and that of Techno in Europe. Bossi and Chagall were at the forefront of the expansion of the early electronica movements, listing cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt, Germany.

You can envision how integral hearing Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, and Brian Eno were to opening the young ears and minds of Cosmic Gate. To them, it was an auditory nirvana. Unprecedented, unknown, new music that they could craft and mix. These

interactions were vital to the overall mutations of European “Techno.” The excitement in the discovery and dissemination of the music was palpable. Techno then was lush and naive. Still revealing, becoming the mass movement it is today, and very similar to the way

hip-hop came to fruition here in America. Diversity is deeply ingrained in American culture. Ownership was now something of a Black thing, more so than any other genre of music. HipHop had a huge effect on the inner-city youth. Hip-Hop was a movement that

changed music, production, language, merchandising sales, and promotion.

Versus that of electronic music specifically, House and Techno, it was more of a smolder in how it came to prominence in America. At the time, Hip-Hop seemingly

suspended America’s recognition of Electronica. I want to be clear, there were always people in the know about all the various genres of music. In America, HipHop was the new kid on the block. With Electronica, most often a stereotypical personality or a style of

dress that keyed you into a different type of music was being played. Techno may have had humble beginnings. It still came to take over the musical landscape. Cosmic Gate has come to represent the true possibilities of Electronica in general. Global influence,

fandom, awards, accolades, amazing musical output, and most of all, keeping people on the dancefloor.

They are very proud to be at the beginning of the movement. Discerning between early Chicago House and Detroit Techno requires an acute ear and a sensitive palate in the diverse history of electronic music. Most laymen listeners won’t recognize classic House music as that of today’s rhythmic "cascades of color."

Unless you are an aficionado, an elder statesman, or a music head, it won’t matter. In the end, it’s always about the music. You must give the people what they want, while also educating them musically by what you produce or play.

Navigating such a fickle environment for this long is no small feat. A great part of America’s identity as a nation is its musical epicenter. So much so that Cosmic Gate has come to make America their second home away from home. They both moved stateside in 2010-2011 due to their sheer popularity and performance

requests. These guys have been everywhere, around the world, shows, stadiums, I bet Bar Mitzvah too. They decided to make America their home. That’s love.

The genial feeling of appreciation and admiration is apparent when Bossi discusses the fans. He says that no matter the location, they make time for their fans. They understand the amount of time fans spend cultivating and immersing their music into households,

these guys have been everywhere around the world; clubs, stadiums, and I bet a bar mitzvah too. they decided to make america their home. that's love.

record stores, and dance clubs. They reciprocate the feelings by always staying to sign autographs or take a few pictures. They don’t see it as work or a job; they genuinely love what they do.

Like most artists, Cosmic Gate moves forward, a tenet of many inclined artists. Achieving the status that Cosmic Gate is not without hard work and staying true to their principles.

They have fought for the virility and validity of electronic music. There were the naysayers, those who didn’t believe. Those who saw Electronica as a fad, something they couldn’t understand. To them, it was without a traditional structure. Too ethereal, too atmospheric to be taken seriously. Only to regret many months later, when booking Bossi himself or the band. Their rates doubled; they booked premium timeslots.

All that hate. To only be late to the game on signing, booking, or promoting groups like Cosmic Gate. Staying current requires the ability to play and see the

the long game. Growing themselves musically will always remain paramount to Cosmic Gate.

Speaking of the future, there is seemingly no conversation that can be had without discussing Artificial Intelligence, or AI. When we

talked about the influence of AI in the music industry, Bossi spoke with more of an open mind regarding its usage. He was cautiously optimistic. But, there was always a caveat: with great power comes great responsibility. His favorite band, Depeche Mode,

has always been relevant because they continue to progress musically.

Even though Bossi may still yearn for the classic era sound, he realizes Depeche Mode wouldn’t be the musical pioneers they are without their continued

machinations as a band. It’s what has helped Cosmic Gate remain so good and relevant. Collaboration and cooperation are harbingers of future successes. Discussing the large following of a producer like Tiësto, who is a contemporary and also a

friend, reveals how travel and music production can make strange bedfellows. There is always something new you want to share; the extant desire to create is natural. It’s what keeps the people coming back. No matter near or far, Cosmic Gate can get in the lab (Logic

Pro) and do their thing. They don’t necessarily have to go to a studio. Grooves can be made like wheels on the rails of a railroad easily with the advent of technology.

The synthesis of their working relationship is that of a brotherhood.

When you’ve been collaborating for 30 years with someone you see alike, think alike, and create alike. He didn’t want to say it. Bossi, you were right. It is a one-ofa-kind relationship because the duality is built on the years and years of producing and performing together.

Hand in hand collaboration, refinement, dissection, reconstruction, of a beautiful thing. They can string their ideas together, just killing time and jamming on the road. With all the travel, there just isn’t time to get in the studio traditionally. It’s the way of the future.

Listening to today's music, you would never know that much of it is created with AI.

It really is, he explained, it’s so easy to have a bassline, a piano loop created artificially.

A lot of Pop music and some R&B use it. So naturally, it will interpolate itself throughout the rest of the music industry in general.

from the comforts of their bedroom. They can become overnight viral sensations. The legality of which is still being defined out in the ether.

Something needs to be developed so no one can take advantage of or create one.

There are a lot of people with a lot of ability who do things

out of love, and it ends up becoming nefarious. On the whole, Electronica is a genre ripe with the opportunity to schematically exploit.

How does this influence the label, the artists, the producers, the point system, the listeners, and the money?

Kids can download or purchase full-on music editing software right

the synthesis of their working relationship is that of a brotherhood. when you've been collaborating for 30 years with someone you see alike, think alike and create alike...it is a one-of-a-kind relationship.

There should be guardrails in place, "a layer of analysis," as Bossi says. As long as the basic structure of the melody is there, then Bossi doesn’t see it as cheating with the usage of AI. I can respect that.

Ironically, as popular as they are, they are touring regularly, and there isn’t a place on Earth that they would play where it would change the trajectory of their travel desires.

Cosmic Gate strives to reach as many people as possible with their brand of music.

118 countries visited, and they haven’t lost their passion for making the dancefloor move, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next from Cosmic Gate.

Listen to the interview.

NEW RELEASE SIDEBAR

For more than two and a half decades, Cosmic Gate has been pushing boundaries and showcasing their dynamic sound to the masses with classic releases like "The Drums" (1999), "Exploration of Space" (2001), and more recently, their two-part album series "MOSAIIK" (2021- 2023) and "Perspectives EP 1" (2025).

After winning hearts with standout collaborations like "Nothing To Hide," "Hear Me Out," and "Blame," GRAMMY-nominated electronic duo Cosmic Gate and the

enchanting vocalist Diana Miro return with their most evocative joint work yet: "Never Erase You." The track first emerged as the instrumental "ID 1" on Cosmic Gate’s "Perspectives EP 1'" a standout yet unfinished moment in their evolving soundscape. “It felt like it was still missing something,” the duo shares.

Enter Diana Miro. With her signature emotional depth and ethereal vocals, she turned a powerful instrumental into a fully realized anthem. "Never Erase You" glides with shimmering and deep, progressive tones — a sound that glows from the speakers, as Miro’s vocals effortlessly shift between grounded emotional resonance and soaring, celestial phrasing. Her haunting refrain — "I’ll never erase you / you are a part of me" — lands with poignant clarity, elevating the production into pure dancefloor catharsis.

More than just a collaboration, "Never Erase You" marks the first single from the forthcoming "Perspectives EP 2," setting the tone for what’s to come from one of progressive and trance’s most enduring acts.

MARKUS SCHULZ:

IN SEARCH OF SUNRISE VOL.21

BLACK HOLE RECORDINGS / AVAILABLE NOW

An emotional expedition toward tomorrow, unfolding in three chapters across the summer of 2025. It’s not just a compilation. It’s a reimagination.

For over two decades, "In Search of Sunrise" has been more than a series, it’s been a

sanctuary for sonic wanderers; a space where emotion, beauty, and transcendence meet under one sky. Now, as the next chapter begins, Markus Schulz steps fully into the role of creative guide, evolving the series into something not just reflective, but visionary.

“The world has changed. So has the music. But the need to escape, to dream, and to feel— that remains,” Markus says. “And that’s what this next era of In Search of Sunrise is about:

building a bridge from nostalgia into a future worth believing in.” For the first time ever,

"In Search of Sunrise" rolled out as three separate drops across the season - allowing each disc to breathe, resonate, and connect in its own time.

First up is "The Awakening," which draws from organic textures, deep progressive rhythms, melodic techno, ambient atmospheres, and emotionally rich, pensive tones. It’s the soundtrack to your late-night reflections and early morning revelations.

That will be followed by the emotionally

euphoric mix "The Nirvana," and finally, "The Nocturnal Voyage," a late-night techno-leaning finale. The full vinyl and CD experience is also be available for collectors and deep listeners alike.

The journey began August 6 with "The Awakening," featuring music from London Grammar, Sasha, Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold & Hernan Cattaneo, Korolova, Cosmic Gate, Estiva, PROFF, Jerome Isma-Ae, and two exclusives from Markus Schulz under his Dakota alias.

The second release "Nirvana," Markus has curated a collection that bridges eras: legends like Röyksopp, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, and Oliver Lieb as L.S.G. share the stage with rising voices such as Cristoph, Rebūke, Hellmuth, Hel:sløwed, BLR, and Shadow Assembly.

With the "Nocturnal Voyage," Markus Schulz completes the trilogy not as a DJ, but as a storyteller. Each mix is a chapter, but together they form a full cinematic arc — a summer-long odyssey from first light to the edge of dawn. Nocturnal features BT, Robert Nickson, Standerwick, Dosem, BLR, Monococ, Kaufmann De, Weska, Aeridan, and Solid Glove.

"Sunrise 21" is available now, with "Nocturnal Voyage" available as solo or as part of the full 3-disc set—offering collectors and dreamers the full summer odyssey in one seamless expedition. The deluxe vinyl edition of "In Search of Sunrise 21" arrives in October.

KASABLANCA

HIGHER RESOLUTION

ANJUNABEATS / AVAILABLE NOV. 21, 2025

Kasablanca delivers their long-awaited debut album "Higher Resolution."

Hitting milestone after milestone over the past five years, Kasablanca has quickly risen through the ranks of dance music must-see acts.  Launching into the scene with their first singles in 2020, they struck gold early on with

their hit collaboration "Run" alongside Lane 8. With now over 40M streams on the track, the duo hasn’t looked back since. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, the band has been explosive since their first "Human Learning" EP in 2020. Most widely known for their enthralling live performances, Kasablanca has played some of the world’s most renowned venues and festivals, including Printworks, Coachella, Red Rocks, Carnival in Brazil, and The Gorge, to name a few. Their songs have also been heard worldwide across radio airwaves, including features on BBC Radio 1 and Sirius XM (which

Kasablanca

brought in their #1 hit with "Run") as well as thousands of spins from stations across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Their presence on social media has catapulted them to stages across the globe with their viral "covers" of throwback dance hits by Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, and The Prodigy, garnering them tens of millions of views and virality across their socials.

In 2023, the duo sold out their first-ever headline tour focusing on legendary rock venues around North America. Towards the

end of the year, their final shows were cut short after revealing that frontman "Micky" had been diagnosed with cancer. Following a brief hiatus from touring and music at the start of this year to seek treatment, the release of their next collaboration with Lane 8, 'Remission,' marked the official return of a cancer-free Kasablanca after the pair debuted the track during their LIVE sets at Ultra Music Festivals in Miami, Chile, and Peru.

An album built in two halves, "Higher Resolution" is the culmination of years of work from the duo, who go by their aliases Micky and Viktor Kasablanca. With the release of "Side A" of the album in October 2024, fans saw a wide range of musical influences and tastes converge, from dance floor anthems to home-listening numbers and everything in between. As fans have been clamoring for the release of the rest of the album with "Side B" for the past 9 months, they are finally getting their wish.

Just as Side A of the album features some big hits, like Kasablanca’s official cover of "Breathe" originally by The Prodigy, with the full album, fans are finally getting some longawaited IDs from over the years. Finding viral success on different social media platforms, the lead single release of "Audio Machina" kicks off the second half of the campaign with a song that was first debuted live over two years ago. Looking even further back, "Television" finally gets released, as the highly acclaimed track has long been a fan favorite at live shows for several years.

FELIX RAPHAEL

DO YOU

[PIAS] ÉLECTRONIQUE / AVAILABLE NOV. 21, 2025

November sees the release of the Felix Raphael's full-length LP "DO YOU" themed around mental health, both as a universal issue and also stemming from Felix’s own experiences.

Across the 16-track LP, Raphael bares his soul, shines a light on a topic that’s far too often

kept in the dark, and transmutes his feelings into an exquisitely realised Indietronica epic sure to resonate with listeners all across the world.

He explores his own mental health challenges as a successful international musician (and as a professional social worker), aiming to touch bases with people and their stories inside and outside the music industry.

As mental health and its topics are not only music-related. They matter to all of us

Felix Raphael

individually (both inside and outside the music industry).

While the LP will highlight issues such as comparison with others, dealing with both successes and failures, industry genreconforming pressure and the courage needed to be open about mental health problems, it is also ultimately a positive record - in celebrating the true joy of creativity and sharing it with others.

The first LP single release is a foretaste of this

message. Says Raphael, "'Creation (no matter how far I go)’ is a reminder that no matter how far we travel - physically, emotionally, or creatively - the joy of creating never fades. It’s a tribute to the pure, unshakeable pleasure we find in making art, wherever we are on the journey."

The album's first single "Creation (no matter how far I go)" offers contemplative plangent piano in support of Raphael’s heartfelt vocals, singing of being too far, too long away from home, with an emotion and sound reminiscent of Editors, before a livelier beat blossoms and the lyrics evolve to a tribute to the process of creating music.

The main message of "DO YOU" evolves around comparing ourselves less with others, embracing our weaknesses, showing vulnerability, and actively caring for our mental health— through therapy, open communication, and acceptance, of ourselves and others.

Currently, maybe more than ever, there is a great need for such themes in art, and in the case of "DO YOU," they are also deeply pleasurable to hear.

The lead single "Creation (no matter how far I go)"is out now.

Felix Raphael's full length album "DO YOU"will be released on November 28th, with more singles to come in between, all on [PIAS] Électronique.

SUPER-FROG SAVES TOKYO BEAMS

ELECTRONIC ARCHITECTURE / AVAILABLE NOW

Bristol’s Super-Frog Saves Tokyo returns with "Beams," a bold second album, channelling the spirit of the '90s dance scene through the lens of modern production. Set for release via Electronic Architecture, "Beams" is an 8-track journey of melody, movement, and memory — equally at home on dancefloors as it is an

immersive home listen. Influenced by the golden era of electronica, "Beams" blends punchy rhythms, and club-ready grooves with lush analog synths, melodic hooks, and an emotional undercurrent. It’s a record shaped by nostalgia, though never trapped by it — fusing old-school inspiration with forwardthinking sound design.

"It’s an album borne of a singular vision," says David Harrison, the artist behind Super-Frog Saves Tokyo. "Each track stands on its own, but they also connect - they’re built to work together

David Harrison aka Super-Frog Saves Tokyo

as a whole piece. It’s music that straddles genres from Balearic trance to ear-splitting techno, via ambient soundscapes, but at all times remaining anchored with memorable hooks and melodies."

Opening track "Drench" eases listeners in with Vangelis-like strings and distant, distorted piano washes, building momentum before collapsing into warped percussion and Harrison’s most dynamic bassline to date.

A skipping beat and "Second Toughest"-

era Underworld-style arpeggios lift this unpredictable opener to an unexpectedly euphoric climax.

"Scream" follows with a crunchy analog bassline that hums and swells beneath a genre-bending blend of glitchy builds, disco claps, and screeching techno percussion.

The gorgeous "Mondrago" offers a Balearic respite - emotive pads and strings build into melodic arps and a swirl of harmony that hints at something darker beneath the surface.

First single "Clarion" jolts the tempo back up with nine minutes of pulsing trance, before giving way to "Ascend"- a sparse ambient interlude where a simple motif dissolves into a drift of reverberating echoes.

"Minds" is a highlight among highlights; all stop-start structure, burbling acid, filtered pads, and a build that summons the spirit of '90s techno exhilaration. ‘Insidious’ dives into abrasive, glitch-heavy territory - all saturated Reese bass and distorted percussion ricocheting across the stereo field, relentless to the end. Closing track "Lumière" wears its Italo-disco influence proudly, pairing a infectious piano riff with a shimmering Balearic groove — a gorgeous, sun-kissed finale.

Whether you're drawn to the sweaty intimacy of the club or the reflective space of solo listening, Beams offers a sound that resonates — warm, sharp-edged, and full of personality.

FEATURING DJ MINX:

DETROIT

KMS RECORDS / AVAILABLE NOW

Kevin Saunderson, DJ Minx, and Dantiez unite for "Detroit," the Anthem of the Motor City. Three generations. One city. A sound that changed the world. e-Dancer (Kevin and Dantiez Saunderson) and DJ Minx come together for "Detroit," a defining collaboration

made

for the city, by the city. A monumental release on a label that has shaped the sound and led the scene, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records.

This is the sound of Detroit, where techno was born, shaped, and continues to evolve. ‘Detroit’ brings together three generations of the city’s dance music legacy: Kevin Saunderson, a true originator of the genre; DJ Minx, a fearless champion for Detroit’s underground and beacon for women and LGBTQ+ artists; and rising star Dantiez,

carrying the next wave forward. Blending e-Dancer’s legendary energy, Dantiez’s forward-thinking production, and Minx’s deep-rooted house groove, this record is a powerful celebration of the city’s enduring musical spirit. At its heart is a powerful spoken word from DJ Minx, paying tribute to the Black pioneers and historical figures who laid the foundations and went on to shape Detroit techno.

movement, weaving history, pride, and education directly into the track.

“Listen to the words and feel what they mean. This track is like an assignment,” says DJ Minx. “Everything I say on it, you can look up and find the history. Detroit is family. We’re close-knit, we protect our city. Black people started this music. We started jazz, we started Motown, we started techno, and the love for this city, for this music, never stops. I love my city.”

“It all started here,” reflects Kevin Saunderson. “People talk about Europe, and sure, that’s part of the story, but techno was named, born, and bred in Detroit. Without this city, without its people, it wouldn’t exist or sound like this. And now, the city has its anthem.”

“Detroit’s musical history is deep,” adds Dantiez. “It’s on us to carry that forward and show love to those who paved the way. I wanted to pay my respects to the people I’ve looked up to, who’ve helped shape my career. Turning that into a track that can also educate the next generation, that’s special.”

"Detroit" pulses with the city’s unmistakable spirit. A driving, soulful tribute to decades of dance floor innovation, resilience, and unity.

More than just a track, it’s a statement of pride, a history lesson, and a powerful bridge between generations. KMS Records continues its legacy of pushing Detroit music onto global stages.

HEX COUGAR

VISIONS

INSOMNIAC/BREAK ROOM / AVAILABLE NOW

Los Angeles producer Hex Cougar is back with a new release on Insomniac's BREAK ROOM label called "Visions." This five-song EP dives into the darker sides of trap, hardwave, and left-field bass. Released on September 12, "Visions" boosts his image for creating emotional music with strong sound design, marking his second EP with this label and

shows a mix of different feelings: it’s both grand and personal, beautiful yet scary. Through five songs, Hex Cougar takes us through movie-like sounds and changing rhythms, keeping each track grounded with his unique atmosphere and attention to detail.

The last track, "HEARTBREAKER," made with Acyan from Denver, starts with spooky vocal samples and soft sounds before blasting into powerful synths and expert melodies. Rough

Hex Couger

textures and deep bass create a tense ending that leaves the track hanging in suspense.

The lead song "FANTASY" kicks off the EP with a strong opening, earning support from Alison Wonderland and getting featured on platforms like UKF, Trap City, All Time EDM, Distopic, Music For All, Find Your Sounds, and more. The EP also includes teamwork with REMNANT. exe, ryscu, and Jade Sierra, broadening its musical style and pushing Hex Cougar to rethink his approach.

On the track "HONEST," he collaborates with Jade Sierra to create a bright anthem that mixes sparkling melodies with bouncy bass.

For "INFRARED," featuring REMNANT. exe, there’s a build-up of tension with steady beats, twisted drums, and wobbly bass that stretches and snaps throughout the song. The closer, "AYRE," features ryscu bringing breakbeats and soaring vocals to add melodic richness to the excitement.

This EP comes with eye-catching visuals created and filmed by Hex Cougar himself. Set in empty California landscapes, the strange story follows a ghostly knight through a dreamlike environment. It has been hinted at during its promotion and will be fully shown at his upcoming live performances, including Escape Halloween, Symmetry Festival, Resonance Park, and Ember Shores, plus support for Dabin at WAMU Theater and The Eastern as part of his "Aura Park" Tour.

With over 100 million streams and past collaborations with artists like RL Grime, as well as official remixes for Sia, Illenium, and Baauer, Hex Cougar is making a mark in experimental bass from the underground scene. "Visions’"shows an artist who is growing and changing, broadening his sound and reshaping modern bass music.

FLOWERS

UTOPIA / AVAILABLE NOW

DJ, music maker, and trailblazer Jaguar has released her first EP called "flowers" under her own label, UTOPIA, featuring the inspiring title track.

Although she has been an important part of the music scene for many years, this is her first official EP. She worked together with the

Jacana People on writing and producing it, and it features singing from Caitlin Stubbs, who is also known as Aurelia Ray. The song "flowers" is a dreamy and gentle club track, filled with soft sounds and smooth beats, and showcases Jaguar’s unique style of spoken words.

Jaguar

with Jacana People, who have worked with artists like London Grammar and Antony Szmierek, and with vocals from Caitlin Stubbs, who has teamed up with artists like Dom Dolla and Gorgon City, "Flowers" brings a relaxed yet beautiful sound to the dancefloor with its soft tones and swirling synthesizers, featuring Jaguar’s signature spoken word.

After spending two years reflecting, undergoing therapy, and exploring her creativity, "Flowers" represents a new

beginning for Jaguar as she transforms her previous mental health challenges from her late twenties into meaningful art.

Recognized as DJ Mag’s Underground Hero and Mixmag’s Broadcaster of the Year, Jaguar is celebrated for supporting new artists like Barry Can’t Swim, Hannah Laing, Elkka, TSHA, and Prospa from the start of her show BBC Introducing on Radio 1 Dance. Her move into music creation is anxiously awaited by fans and fellow musicians.

Her debut EP puts her bold creativity on display, mixing producing, songwriting, singing, and spoken word, with contributions from 1111, Bullet Tooth, lleo, and Air Wolf Paradise. Jaguar celebrated the release of her EP and the 5th anniversary of UTOPIA on September 20th with her biggest show to date at Ministry of Sound Courtyard featuring I. JORDAN, Lexii, and LU.

NEW MUSIC EP

SIMINA GRIGORIU

PRECISION

OFF RECORDINGS / AVAILABLE NOW

Berlin-based techno architect Simina Grigoriu returns with the "Precision" EP on OFF Recordings, delivering two tracks that cut straight to the heart of her hypnotic, highoctane sound.

Featuring the title track ‘Precision’ and the sprawling "Chiron Complex," the EP confirms

her reputation for meticulously crafted grooves that are as cerebral as they are physical. The title track "Precision" asserts itself from the first beat, a taut rhythm that twists and turns with meticulous intent.

Squelchy, writhing synths ripple over the percussion, moving in unpredictable patterns that are both hypnotic and slightly disorienting. Layers of modulation shift and coil through the mix, creating a sense of constant motion and subtle tension, while the

Simina Grigoriu

track’s forward drive keeps the listener locked in its orbit. It’s music that feels alive - its energy coiled and exacting, yet oddly playful, drawing the audience into a loop that’s equal parts cerebral and visceral.

"Chiron Complex" is no less direct but takes a different path to intensity. Beneath its rolling groove and muscular low-end, the track simmers with unease, building momentum through shifting layers of percussion and tightly coiled synths. The pivotal moment

arrives as a stark siren motif emerges in the breakdown, a sound that feels both foreboding and hypnotic, stretching the tension almost unbearably before the rhythm crashes back in.

It’s techno designed for the peak of the night - unyielding, immersive and edged with just enough menace to keep dancers on the brink.

Simina’s approach has always been about more than just making people move. Over the past decade, she has carved a distinctive space in techno: cerebral yet visceral, intricate yet intuitive.

As the founder of Kuukou Records, she continues to champion forward-thinking electronic music, curating a catalog that balances technical mastery with raw energy, giving both established and emerging artists a platform to thrive.

The "Precision" EP is another chapter in Simina’s evolving story - a release that not only highlights her technical finesse but also her vision for what modern techno can be.

With every layer carefully sculpted and every beat meticulously placed, these tracks are designed to captivate the mind as much as the dancefloor.

Sharp, immersive, and unflinchingly confident, the EP is a statement: Simina Grigoriu is defining her own rules, one groove at a time.

NOTRE DAME

HAUNTED NIGHTS

PARANORMAL SOCIETY / AVAILABLE NOW

Parisian artist Notre Dame is sharing his new music with a 3-track EP called "Haunted Nights," which celebrates the exciting vibe of late-night club life. This release comes out through his own label, Paranormal Society, and is the second project from the label after the well-received "Recollection" EP released earlier this summer.

"Haunted Nights" taps into the amazing feelings of sleepless times and joyful dance floors, showing Notre Dame's skill in creating atmospheric sounds and club hits. The EP has a mix of spooky vocals, strong beats, and thoughtful chords, providing a variety of tracks that are good for the club and filled with the energy of late nights, making it ideal for the upcoming chilly months.

This release comes in a year that has been really important for the Parisian musician. His

Notre Dame

remix of Timbaland and Nelly Furtado's song "Give It To Me," done with Adriatique, became a huge hit at festivals, playing at events by Solomun, Keinemusik, Anyma, and CamelPhat, and was often included in sets at Tomorrowland, Awakenings, and Off Week Barcelona.

His success continued with his EP called "Nobody Told Me" on Solomun's DIYNAMIC label, strengthening his connection with the label that helped launch his career with the hit single "Yumi," which became a Pete Tong Essential New Tune and helped him become a full-time DJ and music producer.

Now, his music is featured on big labels like Innervisions, Cercle Records, and Human By Default, and he has done well- known remixes for artists like Röyksopp and Lenny Kravitz, showing he can work in various music styles.

Plus, his lively shows have been very popular, selling out venues around the world, with memorable moments like opening for Solomun at Chateau Chantilly during his biggest year of touring.

Paranormal Society is Notre Dame's idea of a "creative space where music and art come together to take listeners to a different world filled with deep feelings and storytelling through sound."

The label started strong with its first release "Do For Your Love," which quickly gained support from Keinemusik, Adriatique, and RÜFÜS DU SOL, showing the label's dedication to cutting-edge electronic music that connects with people both personally and as a group.

"Haunted Nights" is available now on Paranormal Society.

This collaboration, released by UMe/ Interscope, made a full-circle moment for Notre Dame, as he looks up to the original artists as important influences in his career.

LAIDBACK LUKE

I GOT SOUL (SUPER BAD)

DIM MAK / AVAILABLE NOW

This historic collaboration began with James Brown’s grandson, Jason Brown, a thirdgeneration torchbearer of the family legacy.

Before becoming a DJ himself, Jason was a fan, buying tickets to see Laidback Luke at LA clubs like Exchange and Academy. Years later, he found himself opening for Luke at those

very same venues, creating what he calls “a full-circle moment” that sparked the idea for this collaboration. “Luke is another legend in the space,” Jason says. “It’s the perfect match for somebody who is currently a legend to take the spirit and music from one generation to the next.”

For Laidback Luke, the invitation carried immense weight. “James Brown is the most sampled artist in music history, and his pioneering work in funk and soul has always influenced me, ultimately shaping dance

Laidback Luke

music,” Luke explains. “When Jason Brown asked me to be the first-ever electronic dance artist to collaborate and reimagine ‘Super Bad’ for a new generation, I felt a deep responsibility to get it right and show respect for his fearless attitude and creativity. Working with the original session vocals and stems was surreal — like touching the source that influenced so much of today’s music.”

Released in 1970, the original “Super Bad” was a raw, unapologetic anthem that pushed funk to new heights. More than fifty years later, “I

Got Soul (Super Bad)” carries that same energy into the future.

“If my grandfather could see this,” Jason says, “I believe he’d be proud that I took him to the future. Electronic music is the future — and now his voice, his groove, and his energy are living there too.”

“I Got Soul (Super Bad)” is available worldwide via Dim Mak.

FERRY CORSTEN

WHEREVER YOU ARE BLACK HOLE RECORDINGS / AVAILABLE NOW

It’s been eight rotations since Ferry Corsten gave us 2017’s "Blueprint," and in the interim it’s become one his most fan-revered and critically applauded longplayers to date.

Now Ferry’s opened the album’s vault, passing the stem keys to some of the next generation’s brightest studio hopes. First

to receive are fellow Netherlanders Misja Helsloot and Michael de Kooker, who together, have delivered one of their seismic Helsløwed reprints.

Since its release, Ferry and HALIENE’s "Wherever You Are" has carried heartbreak and hope to clubfloors in equal measure.

Now Helsløwed have restructured that dynamic into something singularly "2025."

Through their signature "low tempo, high

Ferry Corsten

energy" production ethic, the duo have approached "Wherever" through a more progressive vector.

Making it as much about the late night atmospheres as the early morning clubfloors, they work in tempered builds, filmic textures, bass palpitation and drops deep enough to dive into.

Cycling between distance and devotion, HALIENE’s lyrics are lent a renewed sense of gravity through Misja and Michael’s reprint.

Through dark, stormy drums, warping FX, and a simmering tension that swells its break through to its end, they capture Ferry and HALIENE through the Helsløwed lens.

Leaning into the album’s legacy, "Wherever You Are" marks the first of six "Blueprint" reworks forthcoming through Black Hole Recordings.

IN REMEMBERANCE.

D’ANGELO

(FEBRUARY 11, 1974 - OCTOBER 14, 2025)

THE SOUL REVOLUTIONARY AND HIS GRAMMY LEGACY

D’Angelo’s name stands as a beacon of authenticity, artistry, and evolution in modern soul music. Emerging at the cusp of the 1990s neo-soul movement, he carried with him a singular vision: to fuse the emotional depth of classic soul with the experimental energy of modern R&B, jazz, and funk. From the silky, intimate grooves of "Brown Sugar" to the raw, hypnotic brilliance of "Voodoo," and the politically charged urgency of "Black Messiah," his catalog has reshaped the narrative of Black music, insisting that soul be both a mirror of the human condition and a tool for social consciousness.

His four Grammy wins—Best R&B Album and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2001 for Voodoo, and Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song in 2016 for "Black Messiah" and "Really Love"—represent more than just accolades; they are milestones in the journey of Black expression through sound. Yet, the true measure of D’Angelo’s impact is not found in trophies or charts but in the transformative experience his music provides. Each project is a masterclass in vulnerability, a sonic journey that demands attention, patience, and emotional presence.

Beyond the recognition, D’Angelo’s legacy lies in his fearless dedication to artistry. He

challenged the norms of commercial R&B, refusing to compromise the integrity of his sound or dilute the message of his music. In doing so, he created a blueprint for what it means to be an artist who was unapologetically human: a creator unafraid to expose his fears, his desires, and his truths. The intimacy of his music, coupled with its rhythmic sophistication, has inspired a generation of artists to embrace their own emotional and creative authenticity. Anderson .Paak, H.E.R., Frank Ocean, and countless others echo the revolutionary spirit he pioneered, weaving vulnerability, consciousness, and sonic innovation into the fabric of contemporary music.

D’Angelo’s influence extends beyond music. He was and still is a cultural figure whose career embodied the complexities of fame, personal struggle, and the pursuit of artistic integrity. His periods of retreat from the public eye have only amplified the resonance of his work, reminding listeners that true artistry is not measured by visibility, but by the depth of connection it fosters. With each note, each lyric, each heartbeat of his songs, he continues to speak to the spirit of humanity, bridging generations through a shared understanding of love, pain, resilience, and joy.

For D’Angelo, the Grammys were never the goal—they were merely recognition of a mission fulfilled: to connect spirit to spirit through rhythm, truth, and soul. His music reminds us that soul is not just a genre; it is a declaration of life lived fully, honestly, and passionately. In celebrating D’Angelo’s life and career, we honor a true revolutionary, one whose artistry continues to shape the soundtrack of our times and whose influence will echo long into the future.
