Masters in the Kitchen
Our MasterCook Competition 2023 kicked off with our Upper School boys cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
The standard of cuisine was so high this year that all our Upper School chefs proceeded to the final, which was adjudicated by special guest, Laurie Gear (Chef Patron at MICHELIN Star Artichoke Restaurant in Old Amersham).


Congratulations to all our boys; the dishes served were delicious and very well presented, making it an extremely tough competition.
Well done to the winners on their well prepared and superbly executed cuisine: Cassius J (1st) - stuffed shoulder of lamb, with rosemary potatoes, harissa carrots and chimichurri followed by baked alaska.
Nicolas D (2nd) - pan-fried salmon fillet, rosemary roasted potatoes and ratatouille followed by a rich, dark, chocolate mousse.
Harry H (3rd) - ravioli filled with pheasant, served with a tomato sauce followed by crème brulée. We are looking forward to seeing how the other Year Groups compare over the Summer Term.
