Blast from the Past Beacon Talks
We were delighted to welcome two dozen former pupils back to The Beacon for our 1940s and 1950s Alumni Reunion. For some of our guests, it was their first time back to the school in over 60 years!
Our visitors greatly enjoyed being shown around by Upper School boys, and lunch in the Dining Hall was also a highlight – many remembered school meals being served in the basement and subject to food rationing.
We loved hearing our Old Boys' stories and recollections, and we were reminded of how much the school has grown and changed over the years.
We were thrilled to welcome back former Beacon boys Fergus Keogh (OB 2005-14) and L-J Yarroll (OB 200814) for the first in our new series of Beacon Talks.
L-J and Fergus captivated our Senior School boys with their respective talks on pursuing careers in the CGI animation and video game design industries.
A huge thanks to both for giving up their time and sharing their expertise. We loved having you back!
