Egg-cellent Easter Celebrations

The Beacon Community enjoyed funfilled Easter celebrations with various activities for all Year Groups. Our boys baked chocolate treats, participated in Easter egg hunts, did some creative writing, has Easter-themed French lessons, and made Easter hats and cards.

Our Year 5 boys learned about chemical and physical changes by making honeycomb and melting chocolate in Science. Our Year 6 boys were set a task of creating their own Fairtrade Easter Egg businesses and the Beacon Parents' Society hosted a Easter Bake Sale as well as a Cupcake Competition judged by Mrs Rowland and Mr Baker. A busy and cracking Easter period!

Battle of the Houses

The House Competition over the Spring Term was intense with a table tennis tournament and general knowledge quiz taking place.

Many congratulations to Cromer who came out top again this year and enjoyed a House treat of free choice and non-uniform at the end of the term!

Live, Love… Books!

A new reading initiative was introduced and rolled out over the Spring Term, inviting teachers from around the school to the Pre-Prep classrooms to read a variety of stories to our boys. The aim was to encourage reading for pleasure and also introduce other teachers to the class to create a smoother transition for the boys as they move up in the school.
