Terrific Trips
As part of their learning and personal development, our Beacon boys have enjoyed trip opportunities out of school from skiing to learning about Tudors to exploring the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
Super Skiing
The Beacon ski trip boys in Years 6 to 8 had an amazing week away in Les Menuires, France, where they quickly progressed in their skiing skills and gained confidence on the slopes. They enjoyed evening activities and made the most of their time on the snow, completing impressive jumps and tricks. The trip ended with awards for clean rooms, kindness, and impressive skiing skills, leaving each boy with a smile on his face and having developed personally as well as in sports.
Ufton Court Trip
Our Year 5 Beacon boys had a great time on their recent trip to Ufton Court, where they learned about Tudor lifestyle and participated in hands-on activities. They had fun sentencing their friends to Tudor-style punishments and playing Tudor games, including learning how to skip. The tour guides were excellent and showed the boys around the manor house and grounds, sharing the fascinating history of the Tudor era, including discovering hidden priest holes. The boys also enjoyed eating Tudor-style lunches! It was a brilliant trip that the boys thoroughly enjoyed.

IAPS Ski Championship 2023

#TeamBeacon took to the slopes to compete in the IAPS Ski Championship 2023 held in Passo Del Tonale, Italy.

Thirteen boys from Years 6 to 8 took part and put in outstanding efforts. William F ended the week 8th fastest out of 95 others, our boys all achieved PB's over the course of the week and to top it off, we won the U11 Silver. Well done, boys!
Ashmolean Trip
Our Year 3 boys had an educational and exciting time exploring the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. They became Ancient Egyptian detectives and were given clue cards to locate specific artifacts. They learned many interesting facts about each artifact, including its origin and purpose. The boys also had the opportunity to view the Museum's largest artifact, an Egyptian tomb! After lunch, they explored the mummies' area and learned about Ancient Rome and Greece before finishing the day. The boys had an informative and enjoyable trip that enriched their knowledge of Ancient Egypt.
