Preparing children to pass an exam is one approach…preparing them for life is ours.
I hope our prospectus has given you a sense of the character, life-skills and academic success that the Beachborough experience provides all our children during their time with us.
A child’s achievements, such as their academic results, are very important. However, to use the analogy of an iceberg, this is only the part we see above the surface and is a small fraction of the whole child. The rest of the iceberg, hidden below the surface, defines who they are and what their future potential for success might be. We know that a child’s character, life-skills, happiness, motivation, self-confidence and wellbeing are as important as their academic success. We therefore develop and nurture the whole child, with a strong emphasis on the
underlying elements of character and skills, to ensure all our children flourish and are highly successful in their exciting, challenging futures.
In my introduction made a bold statement; I unashamedly said that our children are ‘remarkable’. They really are, but don’t take my word for it, please come and meet them to see how, at Beachborough we are developing 21st Century learners with a caring sense of adventure and a natural sparkle for life!
