Millionaires tonight at the Civic Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. There was football on both sides of the city with the John Paul II Crusaders pulling off a big win over the Kindersley Kobras in nine-man action Thursday. Friday it wasn’t quite as
happy a time for the NBCHS Vikings fans as they dropped a 31-7 loss to St. Joseph. And for those of you who haven’t given up on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, turn to Page 11 to read what the Voice of the Riders has to say about their win Sunday.
On the Go The SIDNE vehicle has arrived for the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation’s PARTY program aimed at youth drivers. The idea is to simulate the effects of drinking and driving in a way that drives the point across to students about the consequences. Driver Walter Houk and passenger Roger Anderson took a test-drive on SIDNE and had a particularly tough time, especially on the third lap around the obstacle course when they were losing control of the vehicle and struggling to keep it on the road.
