ROUTES INTO TEACHING

• Undergraduate leading to a guaranteed PGCE interview

– BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS (5-11)

UNDERGRADUATE PATHWAY

PRIMARY 5-11 route with QTS

• 3-year programme resulting in BA Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (First cohort starts Sept 2025)

• Primary 5-11 age range (placements in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2)

PGCE PATHWAYS - PRIMARY

Full-time: Sep 2024

(7-11 age range)

Full-time: Sep 2024 Primary (5-11 age range)

(3-7 age range)

Full-time: Sep 2024

PGCE PATHWAYS - SECONDARY QTS

PGCE Secondary subjects include:

• Art and Design

• Business Studies

• Computing

• Design and Technology

• Maths

• Music

• Biology

• Chemistry

ASSESSMENT ONLY ROUTE TO QTS

This is a 12-week assessment programme to achieve QTS only.

To be eligible, you need (all of the following):

• to be able to show you meet the teachers’ standards without any more training*

• to have worked in 2 or more schools

• a degree

BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS 25/26

Bursaries or scholarships are yet to be announced for 25/26 entry.

You do not need to apply for a bursary. If you’re eligible, you’ll automatically receive it. To be eligible for a bursary, you’ll need at least one of the following:

• a bachelor’s degree class 2:2 (honours) or higher
