Don't forget to visit
We offer a wide range of accommodation options. Whatever your requirements, we'll help you find a home away from home.
All of our accommodation comes with free Wi-Fi and fully fitted kitchens. You’ll find everything you need to make living away from home convenient, comfortable and fun.
You can visit some accommodation today with "Open House" style, self-guided visits. These are open between 9:30 and 17:15. There'll be staff and student residents onhand to answer questions about living at BSU, and don't forget to attend the Accommodation talks with the team for more details. Representatives will be at the Accommodation stands all day.
We can guarantee you an offer of accommodation if you’re joining us as a full-time undergraduate student and put BSU as your firm choice. For more details, please check our website.
Starting a degree may be a big investment, but the rewards last a lifetime. BSU has plenty of support in place to make sure you feel secure with your finances.
You’ll be expected to pay for your tuition fees (generally £9,525 a year for Home students), your living costs (rent, food, going out, etc.), and your course costs. Your tuition fees can be loaned from Student Finance England (SFE) or other relevant funding bodies, as can your living costs, which can be covered by a maintenance loan. You can find out more about eligibility and how to apply for these via the gov.uk website.
BSU offers a range of scholarships, bursaries and other opportunities to help you fund your studies. For further information on the awards available please check our website or speak to our finance team in the Marquee at the Riverside entrance.
Student Wellbeing Services (SWS) are here for you. You can access professional advice, guidance and resources 24/7 at BSU to help with any issues that you may face.
Our Disability Advisors can provide advice and practical support to students who identify as disabled and neurodiverse, including how to access your Disabled Student’s Allowance (DSA), and ensuring you get accessible accommodation.
You can register with the University Medical Service once you’re a student with us. Our professional practitioners can also provide help to any students struggling with their mental health, and our Wellbeing Advisors can offer practical guidance to coordinate the right support to suit your needs.
SWS provide a range of support for transgender and non-binary students to ensure that your experience at BSU is as comfortable and positive as it can be. Check out our website for more information.
Academic Skills (ASk) are here to help with our students' academic pursuits. Each student is also assigned an academic advisor to support their development at university.
Your Students’ Union (SU) is here to ensure that you have a positive and valuable experience at university. It can help you with your studies, meeting new friends, preparing you for the world of work and making your voice heard.
The SU runs a year-round programme of events, so there’s always something fun to do! We have over 70+ societies; if you can’t find one you want to join, you can always start your own. Be sure to come and check out the SU facilities at Newton Park, including the SU Gym and the Bar, whilst visiting us today.
Bath is a beautiful and unique city, with a thriving student community. We love being here and hope you will too! After you’re finished on campus, we encourage you to check out the city centre. We’ve prepared a handy guide of fun things to do in Bath whilst you’re visiting us!
It’s easy to explore from Bath; big cities like London, Bristol and Cardiff can be reached by train, and Bristol Airport is less than an hour away for adventures further afield.
Outstanding sports venues and facilities, lively nightlife, restaurants and cafés sit alongside great independent shops and quiet corners. Bath also has a vibrant arts scene, including the annual Bath Festival and SparkFest, both of which BSU students help deliver.
You'll graduate industry ready into a city thriving with creative energy. The South West region is full of leading innovators in the arts, design, creative technology and textile industries, as well as large communities of entrepreneurs and small businesses.
There’s plenty of history to see in Bath; the whole city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hop on an open top bus tour and check out the sights, or follow the city trail walking tour and see iconic historic locations like the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the Assembly Rooms. TOUR THROUGH TIME
Bath is renowned for its huge array of teahouses, most of which dates back to the 18th century. Get the ‘true’ Georgian experience with a Bath Bun at Sally Lunn’s, the oldest bakehouse in Bath, or enjoy a cream tea at one of the many other independent cafes across the city.
The city centre might be bustling with its fair share of shops, restaurants, and bars, but it’s also home to many beautiful green spaces. Take a tour around the Parade Gardens, or laze in front of the Royal Crescent at Victoria Park and take in the views.
Bath has become renowned as a sought-after film location and hosts its own Film Festival every year. Why not go on a tour of your favourite Bridgerton spots, or see where Timothee Chalamet danced in Wonka?
Full of independents, vintage shops and high street brands, Bath is a shopper’s paradise.
