Trivia Corner Barry University's Anesthesiology Program opened in 1993, making it the most established program in Florida. How many total nurse anesthesia programs are in the state of Florida, according to the COA? (Answer on page 13)

I am happy to bring you another edition of The Anesthesia Circuit! This summer is momentous for our program. On May 3, we welcomed the inaugural Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Class of 2021. The Post-Baccalaureate DNP replaces the Master of Science in Anesthesiology as our new entry-level program. We enjoyed meeting this bright group of aspiring SRNAs and look forward to their accomplishments and contributions to nurse anesthesia. As we embark on this new journey, our commitment to delivering the highest-quality nurse anesthesia education holds true. You can read more about this exciting program on page 6. As we plan for the rest of the year (and begin Florida's 2018 hurricane season), we are reminded that change brings new opportunities for growth and learning. As nurse anesthetists, we are lifelong learners. This summer, I challenge you to do one thing that will help you grow. Perhaps that is embarking on your DNP degree (you can learn about our program on page 7), or mentoring a new CRNA in your practice, or even spending more time with family and friends. May we never tire in our efforts to improve ourselves and our prestigious profession! Wishing you a safe and happy summer, - Dr. Lee
