We Thank You

Because you cared, you came to share, Beautiful flowers and words of prayer. Because you cared enough to do Words of comfort on cards came too.

Because you cared, we're grateful indeed You've been a comfort and a friend in need. Because you cared, we're able to bear The grief and sorrow - there is no despair.

Because you cared, we are praying too

That God will abundantly bless each of you. Whatever you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much, whatever the part.

The family of the late Captain Geoffrey Edward Wallace.

The Day Thou Gavest Lord Is Ended

The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended, The darkness falls at thy behest; To thee our morning hymns ascended, Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.

We thank thee that thy church unsleeping, While earth rolls onward into light, Through all the world her watch is keeping, And rests not now by day or night.

As o’er each continent and island

The dawn leads on another day, The voice of prayer is never silent, Nor dies the strain of praise away.

The sun that bids us rest is waking Our brethren ‘neath the western sky, And hour by hour fresh lips are making Thy wondrous doings heard on high.

So be it, Lord; thy throne shall never, Like earth’s proud empires, pass away; Thy kingdom stands, and grows for ever, Till all thy creatures own thy sway.

When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

The Day Thou Gavest Lord Is Ended

Angel-Voices Ever Singing

Angel-voices, ever singing Round thy throne of light, Angel-harps for ever ringing, Rest not day nor night; Thousands only live to bless thee And confess thee Lord of might!

Thou, who art beyond the farthest Mortal eye can scan, Can it be that thou regardest Songs of sinful man? Can we feel that thou art near us And wilt hear us?

Yea, we can!

Yea, we know that thou rejoicest O’er each work of thine; Thou didst ears and hands and voices For thy praise design; Craftman’s art and music’s measure For thy pleasure All combine.

In thy house, great God, we offer Of thine own to thee; And for thine acceptance proffer All unworthily Hearts and minds and hands and voices, In our choicest Psalmody.

Honour, glory, might and merit Thine shall ever be, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Blessed Trinity!

Of the best that thou hast given, Earth and heaven Render thee.

When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more. And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair; When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise, And the glory of His resurrection share; When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun, Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care; Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine: O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God; Born of his spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture burst on my sight; Angels descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Saviour am happy and blest; Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

46

God is our hope and strength: a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved: and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea.

Though the waters thereof rage and swell: and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same.

The rivers of the flood thereof shall make glad the city of God: the holy place of the tabernacle of the most Highest.

God is in the midst of her, therefore shall she not be removed: God shall help her, and that right early.

The heathen make much ado, and the kingdoms are moved: but God hath shewed his voice, and the earth shall melt away.

The Lord of hosts is with us: The God of Jacob is our refuge.

O come hither, and behold the works of the Lord: what destruction he hath brought upon the earth.

He maketh wars to cease in all the world: he breaketh the bow, and knappeth the spear in sunder, and burneth the chariots in the fire.

Be still then, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of hosts is with us: the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Who Would True Valour See

Who would true valour see, Let him come hither; One here will constant be, Come wind, come weather. There’s no discouragement Shall make him once relent His first avowed intent To be a pilgrim.

Whoso beset him round With dismal stories, Do but themselves confound; His strength the more is. No lion can him fright, He’ll with a giant fight, But he will have a right To be a pilgrim.

Hobgoblin nor foul fiend Can daunt his spirit: He knows he at the end Shall life inherit. Then fancies fly away, He’ll not fear what men say, He’ll labour night and day To be a pilgrim.

At The Graveside The Committal

God Be With You Till We Meet

God be with you till we meet again; By His counsels guide, uphold you, With His sheep securely fold you; God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet, Till we meet at Jesus’ feet; Till we meet, till we meet, God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again; ‘Neath His wings protecting hide you, Daily manna still provide you; God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again; When life’s perils thick confound you, Put His arms unfailing round you; God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again; Keep love’s banner floating o’er you; Smite death’s threat’ning wave before you; God be with you till we meet again.

Again

The National Anthem

In plenty and in time of need

When this fair land was young, Our brave forefathers sowed the seed From which our pride is sprung, A pride that makes no wanton boast Of what it has withstood, That binds our hearts from coast to coast, The pride of nationhood.

CHORUS

We loyal sons and daughters all Do hereby make it known

These fields and hills beyond recall Are now our very own.

We write our names on history's page With expectations great, Strict guardians of our heritage, Firm craftsmen of our fate.

The Lord has been the people's guide

For past three hundred years. With him still on the people's side

We have no doubts or fears. Upward and onward we shall go, Inspired, exulting, free, And greater will our nation grow In strength and unity.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

And Can It Be

And can it be that I should gain An interest in the Saviour’s blood? Died he for me, who caused his pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be That thou, my God, shouldst die for me!

’Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies: Who can explore his strange design? In vain the first-born seraph tries To sound the depths of love divine. ’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore, Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left his Father’s throne aboveSo free, so infinite his graceEmptied himself of all but love, And bled for Adam’s helpless race. ’Tis mercy all, immense and free; For, O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay Fast bound in sin and nature’s night; Thine eye diffused a quickening rayI woke, the dungeon flamed with light; My chains fell off, my heart was free. I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in him, is mine! Alive in him, my living Head, And clothed in righteousness divine. Bold I approach the eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Nunc Dimittis

LORD, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace: according to thy word.

For mine eyes have seen: thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared: before the face of all people;

To be a light to lighten the Gentiles: and to be the glory of thy people Israel.

Hold The Fort

Ho, my comrades! see the signal, Waving in the sky! Reinforcements now appearing, Victory is nigh.

“Hold the fort, for I am coming," Jesus signals still; Wave the answer back to heaven, “By Thy grace we will.”

See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on; Mighty men around us falling, Courage almost gone!

See the glorious banner waving! Hear the trumpet blow! In our Leader’s name we’ll triumph Over ev'ry foe.

Fierce and long the battle rages, But our help is near; Onward comes our great Commander. Cheer, my comrades, cheer.

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory! Great things he hath done; So loved he the world that he gave us his Son; Who yielded his life an atonement for sin, And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord! Let the earth hear his voice; Praise the Lord, praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice;

O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son And give him the glory, Great things he hath done!

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood! To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things he hath taught us, great things he hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our rapture, when Jesus we see.

Wonderful memories woven in gold, These are pictures, we tenderly hold, Deep in our hearts, a memory is kept, To love, to cherish, never forget.
