Hold The Fort

1. Ho, my comrades, see the signal, waving in the sky! Reinforcements now appearing, victory is nigh.

Refrain:

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still; Wave the answer back to heaven, “By Thy grace we will.”

2. See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on, Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone!

Refrain

3. See the glorious banner waving, Hear the trumpet blow! In our Leader’s Name we triumph over every foe.

Refrain

4. Fierce and long the battle rages, but our help is near, Onward comes our great Commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer!

Bible Reading Judges 7 vs 2-9

2 And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ 3 Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.

4 But the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. Then it will be, that of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ the same shall not go.” 5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink.”

6 And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water. 7 Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his [a]place.”

8 So the people took provisions and their trumpets in their hands. And he sent away all the rest of Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men. Now the camp of Midian was below him in the valley. 9 It happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.

Worship Session

I Am A Warrior

We are soldiers in the army

We have to fight or we have to die

We have to hold up the bloodstained battle

We got to hold it up until we die

We are soldiers in the army

We have to fight or we have to die

We have to hold up the bloodstained banner

We got to hold it up until we die

We are going up, we’re going up together

We're going up to conquer

In the name of the Lord

We are going up, we’re going up together

We're going up to conquer

In the name of the Lord

Don't talk no, no

Don’t talk defeat to me

I am a child of God and I’ve got the victory

Don't talk no, no

Don’t talk defeat to me

I am a child of God and I've got the victory

I am a warrior

I am a conquerer

I’m an overcomer

In the name of the Lord

I am a warrior

I am a conquerer

I'm an overcomer

In the name of the Lord

We are going up, we’re going up together

We're going up to conquer

In the name of the Lord

We are going up, we're going up together

We’re going up to conquer

In the name of the Lord

Battle Hymn Of The Republic

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

1 Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of zhis terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on. Refrain:

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

His truth is marching on.

2 I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps; They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read the righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on. [Refrain]

3 He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of all before His judgment seat; O be swift, my soul, to answer Him; be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on. [Refrain]

4 In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me; As He died to make us holy, let us die to make men free, while God is marching on. [Refrain]

Bible Reading Psalms 23 vs 1-6

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in [b]green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;

For You are with me; Your rod and Your sta , they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will [d]dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
