Thisinitiativeprovideshands-onlearningopportunitiesforyouth, includingfieldtripsfor800-1,000schoolchildreneachyear,and engagesspecialneedsstudentsbyteachingworkskills. Thankstophilanthropy,SandraTorres,RN,aresourcenurseatBaptistHealthWest KendallBaptistHospital,wasabletoattendthe2024AcademyofMedical-Surgical NursesconferenceinToronto,Ontario.Sandrahadthehonorofpresentingherresearch andconnectingwithhealthcareprofessionalsglobally,gainingvaluableinsightsto sharewithherteam.Sandraexpressedherdeepgratitude,saying,“Thisexperiencehas beenasignificantmilestoneinmycareer,andIamthankfulfortheopportunitytolearn, sharemyworkandconnectwithothersinthefield.”

PowerExtraordinary:TheCampaignforBaptistHealthisahistoricfundraisinginitiativeby Baptist Health Foundation in support of Baptist Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in South Florida. The campaign aims to raise a record $600 million in philanthropic donations as an investment in the communities Baptist Health serves. The initiativewillsupporttheorganization’svisionofprovidingworld-class,compassionatehealth resources by pursuing a reimagined approach to patient care, a new era in research and clinical trials, a hub for the best minds in medicine and a globally recognized center for innovation.
