Stewardship Update Prepared for Polo for Life

Dear Barbara and Brandon, On behalf of Baptist Health Foundation, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute.

Because of you, we are able to surround our pediatric patients and their families with care that goes far beyond treatment — care that uplifts the spirit, brings moments of joy and creates lasting memories during some of their most difficult times.

Your generosity helped bring the magic of the holiday season to life at the Miami Cancer Institute’s 2024 annual pediatric holiday party. The Institute’s café was transformed into a winter wonderland, welcoming 27 families for an evening filled with laughter, warmth and celebration. From hand-selected gifts in Santa’s living room to snow globe crafts, character visits, carnival games and an unforgettable appearance by Miami HEAT legend Udonis Haslem — every moment reflected the healing power of joy.

Beyond the holiday season, your support helped four pediatric patients receive essential psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in addition to dedicated office visits. These services are a vital part of our integrated care model, allowing us to support the emotional and cognitive well-being of each child as they face the challenges of cancer with strength and resilience.

We are also deeply grateful for your contribution to Parents Night Out, held in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. While our young patients and their siblings enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime after-hours experience at Zoo Miami, complete with private tours and engaging educational activities, their parents were able to relax and reconnect over an intimate dinner. It was an evening that gave 55 participants not just a break, but a moment of normalcy and joy — both critical to the treatment journey.
