Thispastyear,theJoséMiltonFoundationEndowedChair inOrthopedicswasestablished–thefirstofitskindfor BaptistHealthOrthopedicInstitute.This$3milliongift fromtheJoséMiltonFoundationwillsupporttheworkof JohnWilliamUribe,MD,chiefmedicalexecutiveand founderofBaptistHealthOrthopedicCare
FundsfromthisendowmentwillallowDr.Uribeandhis teamtopursueadvancedorthopedictherapiesand treatmentsforpatientsthroughoutourcommunity. Specifically,theendowedchairwillsupportDr.Uribe’s researchworkinminimallyinvasiveresurfacing techniquesofthekneeandshoulder,aswellasligament andtendonrestoration,amongotherareas.
