Welcome to this edition of Community Connect ‘Extra’, a supplement to the quarterly Community Connect magazine.
It has been a vibrant winter filled with beloved community events like NAIDOC Week celebrations, the Skullcandy Oz Grom Open, and the popular Airing of the Quilts at Crawford House Museum. Exciting upcoming events include the Alstonville Quota Craft and Garden Fair, Newrybar Bonfire and Fireworks Night, and the Rainbow Region Dragon Boat Club’s Regatta.
The Council recently adopted the Delivery Program and Operational Plan for 2023/24, which outlines the work program for the next 12 months and four years. You can access the final document at ballina.nsw.gov.au/planning-and-delivery
In Pop Denison Park, a new playground is under construction, featuring challenging play equipment and amenities for older children. The upgrade includes additional BBQs and picnic shelters, enhancing the park’s facilities for birthday parties.
We are excited to announce that the Draft Lennox Head Strategic Plan 2023-2043 is progressing. This 20-year plan has been developed based on community feedback. Once Council endorse this plan for exhibition you can provide input at yoursayballina.com.au
