NEW PLAYGROUND COMING POP DENISON PARK

Ballina Shire Council has secured $1.4 million from the NSW Government to help fund the construction of the next stage of the playground at Pop Denison Park.

The second stage will expand the playground area to include larger and more challenging equipment and features to cater for a wider range of ages and abilities:

• A double 25 metre long flying fox

• Three tower treehouse structure

• Pendulum basket swing

• Tunnel climbing feature and sphere climber

• Inclusive all access carousel

• Additional BBQs, picnic shelters and path network

• Additional landscaping, nature play features and shade trees.

The existing junior playground will remain open throughout construction of the second stage and is expected to be completed by December 2023 (weather permitting).
