Nutty about Plant Based and recyclable film

Met Foods the award-winning plant based, dairy-free people are an AA BRC allergen free facility, with two separate factories producing a range of gut-friendly coconut and almond based yoghurts and spreads for food service.

A family owned, British Business, Met Foods Ltd are passionate about creating dairy-free products that prove dairy-free doesn’t have to be bland or boring. Made with the finest ingredients sourced from ethical suppliers to create free-from products that not only taste good but are good for you too.

They have been revolutionizing plant-based products since 2011; launching the UK’s first ever coconut milk yoghurt to market followed by the UK and Europe’s first almond milk yoghurt, giving consumers a healthy and delicious product that wasn’t soy or dairy based.

Not only are their products a tasty relief for those who are lactose intolerant (approx. 15% of the UK population) but also caters to the ever-growing vegan community satisfying the appetite for dairy free plant-based products that can be enjoyed every day.

Since the COVID pandemic 1 in 4 Brits have reduced the amount of animal products they are consuming. Veganuary had a record 500,000 people sign up in 2021 which is up 100,000 on the previous year and double the number from 2019. In the last 12 months the number of vegans has increased by 445,000 people (40%). It is predicted that by 2025 vegans and vegetarians will make up 25% of the British population.

When Met Foods Ltd wanted to make their packaging more environmentally friendly, they worked closely with National Flexible to launch recyclable yoghurt alternatives for Nush and COYO Organics. Contact www.nationalflexible.co.uk

INTERNET RETAILING EXPO REVIEW – TOP EXHIBITORS

IRX 2022

For the second time since COVID-19, the Internet Retailing EXPO (IRX) returned to the NEC in May 2022 and what an event it was!

The thrill of a live event is still very much a large part of the retail journey in forming ones decision-making process, and this was only demonstrated by the level of interaction at the EXPO. IRX is the perfect place for retail professionals to build the toolkit they need

to support their business in the new climate.

Retailers, brands, industry experts and retail vendors from across the UK gathered to hear from thought-leaders, discover innovative technology and learn how to power their business into the future.

Event leaders were most proud of the quality and numbers of senior-level, big-name retailers and brands that attended the show

Increase sales conversions by 30% with 360 Product Photography

One of the stand out exhibitors at this year’s IRX Show was a company that specialises in shooting 360 Product Photography. ‘Gravity 360s’ stand displayed an extensive portfolio of beautifully photographed products rotating in 360 degrees, ranging in size from items of jewellery up to a 3 seater sofa.

We got the chance to interact with the products on desktop and iPad, moving the products left and right and zooming in to see incredible detail. The experience was remarkably close to being in the store itself and we could see how this tool & service would help to improve the customer experience online.

Mark, the company’s owner has worked in the photographic industry for over 20 years and quoted some impressive facts about how 360 Spins help his clients be more successful, “360 Spins have been proven to increase sales conversions by up to 30%, improve Engagement and Buyer Confidence and Reduce Returns. Amazon conducted a short 60-day Pilot to test how 360 Spins performed on their shopping platform. The results were so promising that Amazon has been busy rolling out the feature since. This example supports the capability of 360 Spins to perform on the world’s biggest shopping platform.”

and indicated they had the budget and were ready to buy. The EXPO was a great opportunity for all businesses to source new clients and showcase their solutions. The EXPO dictated a new energy where everyone was eager to learn from each other, with a new found energy that was far above what can be offered from Zoom.

The EXPO caters to a vast number of industries that all belong to fast moving environments,

therefore, the EXPO was a great chance for professionals to learn about what they didn’t know as well as experience the success of other link-minded people in the industry.

Demystifying the dark art of digital

We’re often told we live in the Digital Age – that the world has gone digital. More than two-thirds of the world’s population now uses a mobile phone and COVID lockdowns forced people online, apparently for good.

But do we really live in a digital world?

Just because people own smartphones, it doesn’t mean that they understand digital. Business owners and marketeers often view digital marketing as a dark art because it’s clouded with jargon and made unnecessarily difficult.

Usually, it’s digital agencies themselves who blind clients by science and use unnecessary jargon and buzzwords to make their tasks seem more complex and important. That’s how development projects get scrapped, and businesses end up paying for more than what they really need.

Technology should make life easier. It should connect people, simplify tasks, and help businesses grow. Digital isn’t magic. It can be understood if explained simply. That’s why

CDA was founded – to make digital human.

CDA is a full-service digital agency. Our specialities lie in eCommerce, customer experience and digital marketing. We understand processes, systems, and automation, and how these can transform businesses from the inside out. Our ability to

see the full picture and identify opportunities for growth is why we’re trusted by clients around the world.

Most importantly, we always keep it simple.

We know that by applying a people-first, common sense, jargon-free approach we can clear the way for businesses to thrive in the digital world.

Your halal certification experts

such as Indonesia and Singapore. HFA has a team of highly qualified and experienced food technologists and auditors who work tirelessly to utilize their skill base to serve both the Muslim community and the wider halal industry.

HFA always endorse its policies reflecting honesty, transparency, due diligence and adherence to Islamic Jurisprudence, which is why it is one of the leading renowned Halal Certification bodies in the world. “Having our certification and Halal mark (logo) on the products opens new business opportunities, particularly in markets where demand of Halal food is growing at an exceptional rate. We can confidently say that we are the most internationally recognised Halal Certification body compared to any of our competitors,” said Dr Amir.

In this issue of Products and Services Review, we are pleased to announce Halal Food Authority (HFA) as our Halal Certification Body Company of the Month.

HFA was originally established in 1994 to monitor and supervise red meat and poultry in the UK. Today, HFA has evolved to specialise in halal certification for the food industry providing services to all those involved in food manufacturing, meat slaughtering, cutting, confectioneries, ready meals, food additives, cultures & enzymes, flavouring, food colorants, lubricants, restaurants, cosmetics and personal care.

“HFA is a Halal Certification Body which contractually works with establishments that are involved in the production and supply of Halal products, providing an assurance for the Muslim consumers that all the food they consume meets the axiom and standards of Halal. We have a strong presence and international recognition which stems from our main UK head office in London, as well as from our other offices in Belgium and Ireland,” stated Dr Amir Masoom, CEO of HFA.

To become a part of scientific research and innovation schemes that aim to support further development of the global Halal industry is integral to everything HFA does. From the export of Halal meat, processed food, and non-food items such as cosmetics and pharmaceutical products, particularly to middle Eastern (GCC), Turkey and far-east countries

Of course, to continue a business in the food industry following COVID-19, is and will continue to be difficult with changing working conditions and certain protocols to follow. However, HFA learnt to adapt its business practice to overcome the challenges following the pandemic. Dr Amir explained, “We developed a new online portal system which helped us working from home without compromising on the quality and efficiency of our services. We replaced our on-site auditing system to remote video auditing, and it worked well. We are slowly going back to working from the office and we have recently moved head office to a more central location in London, with good links to main train stations and airports. In addition, we now have additional meeting rooms equipped with better IT facilities to connect remotely worldwide.”

Halal certified cosmetics are high in demand from consumers in Middle East and Far East countries. The market is expected to reach $144.8 billion by 2021 according to Allied market research (09 Nov 22). Besides the food sector, which contributes to majority of our product certification, the cosmetic scheme that HFA is offering is in high demand and our certificate is accepted all over the world. Our certification is

recognized as a symbol of authenticity and trust,” stated Dr Amir. So far, HFA have certified over 270 companies, 420 sites, 4,300 products and 176 stores. Moving forward, the company has big plans to not only continue growing and expanding its presence into more sectors around the world but to also reach new markets offering new services, Amir commented, “We have a team of a trained, highly qualified, and experienced auditors, food technologists and expert Islamic scholars. In the future, we would like to diversify our services by adding food safety audits into our scope.”

Building for the wildlife

In this issue of Products & Services Review, we are pleased to announce Riverside Woodcraft as our Specialist Wildlife Habitat Manufacturer of the Month.

Using mainly European Red Pine ‘redwood,’ Riverside Woodcraft is a Tamworth based specialist manufacturer, designer and distributor of wood products for use in wildlife, pet and garden. “All our products are handmade here in the UK. As a specialised wildlife and habitat manufacturer, we predominantly do wildlife products like bird tables and hedgehog houses but we are also looking to diversify our offering into white label products where we can build clients a bespoke range, so for example we have recently had a client come to us for some lawn mower covers which is now serving very successful,” stated Chris Leedham, Managing Director.

its products and services to current market demands.

Of course, it is nationally known that through COVID-19, many people across the UK and even the world turned their hands to all things DIY, gardening and home renovation work, and this provided a large turnover for Riverside Woodcraft during that time.

“The pandemic for us was excellent in terms of sales and new business. At that point, we were doing really well as an online retailer and our sales almost tripled overnight. As soon as the government introduced the furlough scheme a lot of our business came from that as people had the extra time and obviously the continuous income to invest in their houses and gardens. We were extremely busy during this time and our sales were booming; however, people are now back in work and not on furlough so we have had to adapt the business to match the current market and we are now selling more direct to trade,” stated Chris.

Riverside Woodcraft was established in 2007 by Chris’ parents Alison and Richard Leedham. From working in a fast-paced environment for a corporate company in the building industry, Richard was unfortunately made redundant and it was at that moment he took the opportunity to start a company that embodied the three things he knew he was good at. Combining his knowledge and skillset of woodwork, IT and sales, Richard realised there was a gap in the market for bespoke wildlife products to be sold within garden centres. From this moment, as a couple Richard and Alison embarked on the journey to develop the company and bring their ideas to life. Many years later, Richard and Alison semi-retired which allowed Chris – their son, to step up into the Managing Director role and take the reins of the family business. Over the years, the company has gone from strength-to-strength diversifying

The initial sales boom from COVID-19 not only allowed the company to invest heavily in new machinery giving it the capabilities to fulfil and take on bulk orders for much larger customers, but also to develop the business as a whole, take on new staff and expand into more sectors.

Since focussing more on the trade and its relationship with garden centres, the business has also taken on 12 new sales agents around the UK to help the company expand its range and it has built a larger presence in the sector.

“It is important that we continue making a costeffective product for the end user that is built to last. We currently have a close relationship with

The British Garden Centre and our products are stocked in 12 of their stores across the UK. Our sales agents will also be pushing for our range to reach more online retailers, department stores or anyone who has a wildlife sector as well as other large garden centre chains in the UK. Our bird tables and nest boxes are the two main products that are sold within these garden centres and we are hoping next year when it comes into season – maybe January or February 2023, that they will also begin stocking our hedgehog range,” added Chris.

Since the beginning, Riverside Woodcraft has always embodied the ethos, which is to ‘Build for the wildlife, not for the human,’ and Chris believes this makes them stand out amongst their competitors, “Many of our competitors tend to build for a price rather than for wildlife. The level of care and attention our products receive is unrivalled. Our ethos as a company is to make sure that we use as much recycled material as possible to ensure we are being as sustainable as we can. By sticking to these two main principles has allowed us to make cost-effective products for the end user that last.”

As a wildlife manufacturer supplying the trade, Riverside Woodcraft is also really keen to work further with more white label companies where it has the capabilities to build bespoke ranges of products specifically to their branding. Its current range includes but is not limited to:

◆ Hedgehog houses, shelters, water and food bowls, cat resistant tunnels, nesting material, starter kits, feeder attachments, care kits, and eco houses.

◆ Squirrel, Duck, Swan, and Hedgehog food

◆ Bird Table feeding stations

◆ Sparrow Terrace and Owl nesting boxes

◆ Bat nesting and roosting boxes

◆ A range of accessories.

Has ergonomics of blue-collar industrial workers been forgotten?

Ergonomics at work is a hot topic at the moment. Office workers around the world have switched to working at home instead of company offices. Sales of electric desks and home office furniture has spiked in many countries with the aim of improving home office ergonomics. But how is the ergonomics of industrial blue collar workers?

Treston, a global leader in manufacturing ergonomic industrial furniture and workstations, has put together an information package concentrating

especially on the ergonomics of mobile industrial work in order to raise awareness of the importance of good workstation ergonomics, both for the employer and for the employee. Why concentrate on mobile industrial work? Manual handling of loads

is generally considered an occupational risk factor for lower back and shoulder complaints and it is in fact the most common cause of occupational fatigue, lower back pain and lower back injuries. This information package offers practical information and advice for employers on how to improve ergonomics of mobile industrial and work. We also explain why companies should invest in ergonomics.

Qura: The only combined hot and cold drinking tap with WRAS approval designed for mental health

What is Qura?

Qura is a unique hot and cold water tap specially developed by Hotspot Titanium in collaboration with mental health care leaders. Because the tap is jointly developed, it meets the highest requirements such as CQC standards. The taps also has WRAS approval and the system fully complies with all water regulations. Our patented tanks are of the highest quality and made of Titanium. As a result, there is no chance of limescale build-up in the tank, even in the hardest water regions, which saves on expensive maintenance. We therefore have an unprecedented level of confidence in our product, which is why we offer a lifetime warranty on the tap and are convinced that it is the best product in the market to keep employees and patients safe. Did you know that Qura is the first choice in countless NHS trusts across the country?

The benefits of Qura

: The first custom, combined hot and cold water tap for mental health with WRAS approval.

: Lifetime tap warranty

: Patented Titanium tank, which means no more scale or expensive maintenance contacts to maintain your boilers.

: Our chillers are easily adjustable through an app. We can also send updates via the app in case of failure that prevents downtime and long waits for mechanics.

Did you know!

It is extremely important to check the temperature at which your future or current water heater stores water. Several university studies have shown that it is important to store hot water at temperatures higher than 70 degrees or higher. At temperatures lower than 70 degrees or higher, the risk of bacteria such as legionella increases significantly. However, there is no legislation requiring manufacturers to store water at a minimum temperature.

Very important to be aware of, don’t you think? Our boilers store water at a temperature of 99 degrees so you can be absolutely confident that the water is safe.

People with disabilities are over 50% more likely to face barriers to accessing digital and online services than non-disabled people.

No-one should have to face barriers when doing their job, studies or hobbies. There are many solutions available to help break down these barriers and reduce the risk of getting a debilitating condition such as Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). One of the biggest barriers is knowing what to go for.

Stand Out and Stand Proud

LIMB-art is a British design and manufacturing company based in the heart of beautiful North Wales dedicated to producing cool prosthetic leg covers.

Founded in 2018 by former Paralympic swimmer and medalist, Mark Williams and his wife Rachael, LIMB-art was born out of an overwhelming desire to help other prosthetic users raise their confidence, be proud of what they have and very simply, but equally importantly have fun showing off whilst doing so!

Mark’s Journey 21st June 1982... my life and that of Princess Diana’s were changed forever... and for better.

Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William and I lost my left leg following a car accident whilst riding my bike home from school.

The next 8 years were a whirlwind. I was transformed from a shy 10 year old boy, who couldn’t swim, into a super-confident athlete winning medals in the pool at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics and 1989 Miami World Championships. The whole experience taught me to look at what you ‘can do,’ not what you can’t, to always drive for perfection and, above all, be proud.

One day in 2017, a small child approached me in a local supermarket wanting to tell me how ‘cool’ my leg looked... I had made a bright green cover with flashing LED lights! At this

the PR35S is the perfect powerchair for any child or smaller person who also requires a standing function. The controls have memory settings that store favourite positions. Also available is the nonstanding PR35.

Co-founder, Matt James commented, “To have received this recognition is fantastic. We worked closely with the R&D team at Paravan during the development of the PR35S and this award certainly makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

point, I decided it was time to ‘give something back.’ I pulled together a team of experts to make the ultimate covers on a bigger scale, with a choice for everyone to help them Stand Out and Stand Proud.

Profession delighted to be back at BDCDS!

Despite the unavoidable two year interlude, the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show (BDCDS) 2022 came back stronger than ever. Thousands of professionals gathered at the Birmingham NEC from 13th-14th May 2022 for two busy days of learning and networking, creating an incredibly positive atmosphere for all to enjoy.

The extensive programme offered a wealth of information and inspiration, with an array of truly stand-out sessions for all members of the dental team. Theatres were full and audiences engaged, with delegates making the most of opportunities to hear from worldclass speakers for free.

Award winning hypochlorous Mouthwash

SURGICAL EQUIPMENT MATTERS

Clinisept+ Dental Mouthwash is the gold standard oral rinse that has the industry abuzz. Launched in 2020, it immediately won the Dental Industry Product of the Year Award and was quickly adopted by many of the leading practitioners owing to its highly effective antimicrobial performance combined with a neutral pH and non-staining mild formula.

The magic behind Clinisept+ Dental Mouthwash is a unique high purity hypochlorous solution which delivers a gentle oxidising action to provide effective cleaning but without using harsh chemicals such

as alcohol, chlorhexidine or peroxide. As a result, Clinisept+ Dental Mouthwash forms the perfect environment for tissue to heal rapidly – which is why it is favoured by so many of the UK’s leading implantologists. Clinisept+ Dental Mouthwash

is available for use in clinic in 600ml and 5L containers and as a 400ml take home product for patients to maintain the same levels of clinic hygiene at home.

It is ideal for use post treatment, or post implant to ward off periimplantitis, or simply by those who need additional help with oral hygiene but who don’t like the ‘arctic blast’ associated with traditional mouthwashes. The fact that it doesn’t stain is a real bonus so there is no limit as to its duration of use.

Marsden: Medical & Industrial Weighing Scales

Marsden is a leading supplier of Class III Approved weighing devices with a vast 95-year history.

The Marsden M-615 is a Class III Approved wheelchair scale. Designed with support from the NHS to ensure that accurate weight readings can be easily obtained for wheelchair bound patients. This device has ramps and beams to suit most wheelchairs and handles for easier transportation.

This scale features two weigh beams and is designed to be highly portable and easy to transport. It is ideal for use by community nurses and health visitors. Simply open up the beams, lay them flat, connect the indicator and you are ready to weigh your patient.

When it comes to weighing the patient, place the case on the floor and disengage the

latch. The beams can then be unfolded and placed on the floor. Switch the scale before pushing the patient or letting the patient wheel themselves onto the scale. The weight reading will then register on the indicator display.

Tough Furniture

Tough Furniture are a UK-based manufacturer, with a unique focus on producing furniture for challenging environments, including mental health care homes, custodial environments, SEN schools, hospitals: anywhere that requires furniture that will stand up to aggressive or careless treatment.

In recent years, one of Tough’s most successful areas of innovation and production has been the introduction of a wide range of TV protection cabinets. TV’s in mental health bedrooms can play an important role in keeping service users connected with the outside world, as well as going some way towards fulfilling their needs for connection with other people. Familiar and favourite TV shows can have a calming effect that is very helpful in therapeutic environments. The main danger arising from installing standard TVs is that they are very vulnerable to careless or aggressive treatment, and when broken or damaged can severely compromise the safety of both service users and care staff.

Tough Furniture’s innovative designs tackle these challenges by offering a range of ‘fully enclosed’ solutions, where all access to the TV unit is restricted by keeping it behind a locked polycarbonate viewing panel. Their security and durability are teamed with an attractive appearance – all cabinets are built with natural woodgrain board to blend seamlessly into any room they are installed in, and create a discreet noninstitutional environment.

BUILDINGS, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT & MAINTENANCE MATTERS

Kosmos by Kingsway Group

Kosmos Conscious Monitoring System by Kingsway Group was launched earlier this year, born out of insight and customer need. Whilst the CQC have not mandated use of alarmed doors and systems there is a growing number of NHS Mental Health Foundation Trusts investing in this area to increase detection of ligature attempts and to ultimately keep vulnerable service users safe in their care. In line with the questions

Trusts have to answer when being inspected by the CQC, implementing a Conscious Monitoring System helps give practical solutions in answering ‘Are they Safe,’ ‘Are they Effective’ and ‘Are they responsive to people’s needs.’

The Conscious Monitoring System is easy to install and works in coordination with an already installed Kingsway alarmed Complete Door Systems or in

new build projects where alarmed door systems are required. Set up, training and support are all provided as part of setting a team up for success and making it a positive addition to the working environment rather than feeling like an additional responsibility.

Benefits of Kosmos by Kingsway Group include:

: Full geographical layout map on screen making it easier to identify where an incident has taken place

: Healthcare Trusts have direct access to all alarm and fault

information. Data is easily filtered and reports produced which provides alarm information so that staff can identify trends.

For example, alarms occurring at certain times of day or in particular rooms

: CQC may request access to this historical alarm data during an inspection

: Useful information for the mental health trusts for auditing purposes including analyzing sequences of events leading up to a ligature alarm

: Useful for Kingsway engineers to interrogate fault alarm data in order to determine commonalities.

The importance of your emergency lighting system should not be underestimated. Simply put, lives depend on it. But how can you be sure that your system will perform when it’s most needed?

P4, the UK’s largest independent self-testing emergency lighting specialist, has been focusing on providing its customers with the evidence that by choosing P4, they’re choosing the best.

It secured its first BSI Kitemark in 2019 for self-testing emergency lighting systems, followed by the BSI Mark of Trust Kitemark for IOT (Internet of Things) Devices for its MWeb controller system.

P4’s UK Sales and Marketing Director, Steve Rham, explains the significance, “Despite having gained a reputation for quality over the past 30 years, we’re always looking for ways to improve our service and the Kitemark certification – recognised globally as a mark of quality, safety and trust – does just that. We believe it sets us apart as a manufacturer that really cares about quality.”

P4 was also accepted into Made in Britain in 2020 due to its commitment to UK manufacturing. Along with LIA and ICEL membership, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and their BAFE accreditation, P4 really is setting the standard when it comes to emergency lighting.

“Never compromise on quality” –message from leading emergency lighting specialists, P4

We are dedicated to showcasing industry-leading companies who are striving to offer the very best products and services to their customers. For this reason, we have chosen to feature Boplan UK for our Commitment to Excellence profile, for their dedication to the design, development and manufacture of sustainable and essential safety products for residential, commercial and industrial environments.

Boplan was established in 1998 by Xavier Ramon, with its UK Ltd office beginning in 2016 in Wolverhampton. A global company, Boplan has offices across the world, including in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and the USA. Additionally, they have a strong distributor network operating across the entire globe.

Boplan specialises in designing, developing and manufacturing sustainable and effective fall and collision protection, for use in even the most challenging environments. Boplan’s products are designed to protect people, vehicles, buildings and infrastructure in large warehouses, industrial buildings, factories, airports, drilling platforms and petrochemical sites all around the globe. They use high-quality and high-performance plastics, which, thanks to their many beneficial properties, have proven far superior to traditional materials.

Their diverse range of products includes handrails, safety barriers, guardrails, bollards, goalposts, rack protectors, single axes gate, double axes gate and various types of marking tape.

As one of the biggest names in the safety and security industry sector, Boplan supplies their products to almost any industry. We asked Steven Dunn of Boplan what benefits the company’s products bring to clients that make them unique. He explained, “The modular safety systems of Boplan are the most innovative on the market and protect numerous industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, airports, drilling platforms and (petro) chemical sites

worldwide. For each specific application, we have a safety solution.”

He also added, “Boplan provides customers with a single point of contact and a single safety plan to increase safety in the workspace. We look beyond that one specific safety product that other parties offer. Our wide range of safety products allows us to cover a broad spectrum of possible risk situations in the workspace: fall protection, crash protection, anti-skid, and more.”

Indeed, Boplan offers a comprehensive solution for safety in the

workplace. Often, companies can be at risk of missing out essential items because they must use several different suppliers for their safety products. Boplan, on the other hand, offers a one-stop shop to cover as broad a range of risk situations as possible, with their family of safety products offering the guarantee that every modular component is fine-tuned to its application.

“In contrast to the classic steel systems used for crash protection, Boplan Flex Impact barriers provide increased impact resistance,” explained Steven. “The flexibility of our system gives greater asset depreciation periods than the steel solutions that require significant replacement and remedial works.”

A particular product of note is the innovative FLIP kick rail, a robust safety board made from polymer. Its connection pieces enable the user to demarcate an area continuously and efficiently, allowing the quick and easy protection of infrastructure. Offering full ground level protection with the added handrail system in multiple performance ranges depending on your moving plant/equipment.

Boplan is dedicated to developing outstanding safety products that challenge the current standard in industrial safety. Steven best described the company ethic as, “Because of the passion and the constant desire for innovation of our loyal employees, we want to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Given the fact that guaranteeing health and safety is a legal obligation within the workplace, Boplan’s products are vital elements for any company. If would like to find out more information on Boplan’s full range of products and services, head to their website. Alternatively, get in touch using the contact details below.

CP Cases: Protective equipment cases for professionals

We have had a few months now to reflect on The Media Production & Technology Show at Olympia London as a whole. The event was jam-packed with talks, pavilions and industry sections for all – exhibitions & visitors alike.

The event itself felt less busy for obvious reasons, but the quality of the people we spoke too felt richer. Their challenges and our solution felt more aligned and it was great to have more focused attention on a select few than catering for the masses.

As always, it was great to catch up with some

familiar faces in the industry and starting interesting conversations with new prospects.

Some highlights include Louis Theroux’s Keynote speech, ‘The New Sports’ talk, discussing what innovative new sports launches we should look forward to this year. The opportunity to network and meet new potential customers is always a bonus, and of course, the infamous exhibitors party to end the first day on a high.

Situated in London, Connected Safety Net has developed an App that offers a digital platform built around managing any accidents, incidents or near misses.

CSN strive to help its clients reach their sustainability goals by eradicating the use of paper wasted in the incident reporting process, whilst also offering a highly efficient and ecofriendly alternative, CSN has developed a range of digitalised safety processes that deliver results in making the world a safer place.

Ayala Bar’s Classic Collection

With her new Classic Collection, Ayala Bar has recreated a theme expressing her 'collage like' visions within a variety of colour groups. This season's line reveals a whole new effect, one of added sparkle & luminosity. It's a fresh

look which has resulted, in part, from the use of new unique beads which benefit from a special coating.

The Classic Collection shows a great deal of detailed craftsmanship, revealing structures within a tapestry of magnificent colours. Although somewhat reminiscent of Ayala’s earlier works, this colourful and dramatic line also projects the artist's current state of individuality.

ZSISKA jewellery is made of resin and can be combined with other high quality materials such as 24k gold leaf and pure silver leaf. Georgie Paws offers high-end, handmade, sustainable, and eco-conscious Buffalo Leather Dog Collars, Leads & Chew Toys. Designed and directed Violet, Georgie Paws is the result of her idea at the age of 13 on a drive through outback Australia, wanting quality products for her dog George. Her distinctive Dog Collars, Leads, Gifts, and Accessories, draw inspiration from traditional equine designs with her own twist of creative, bright colours.

All leather products are made using buffalo leather. Buffalo leather is used extensively due to its sustainability, religious neutrality and having an innate sturdy structure that requires less chemicals than other commonly used leathers.

In recent years, Violet identified the demand for biodegradable chew toys when she found a 15-year-old rubber chew toy in the garden that was as good as new. Horrified that traditional chew toys may litter the earth for decades; Violet developed a fun and sophisticated line of all natural toys that return to the earth.

Over the past three years, eibe Play has been working alongside the school over the past three years to improve their outdoor play facilities and develop a development plan for the next few years. The Electric Motorbike Company Ltd, (THELMOCO), provides cheap to run eco-friendly electric motorcycles, scooters and mopeds.

They are becoming increasingly popular because even at current electricity prices (0.28p per KWh), they cost as little as £0.01p per mile to run. They are exempt from Congestion Charges and ULEZ, and until 2025, Road Tax. The bikes are virtually maintenance free, so the long-term running costs are extremely low.

Many of THELMOCO’s customers use their bike for short and medium commutes or local journeys to work school or the shops. However, they also have bikes specially designed for making deliveries, because using an electric bike significantly lowers operating costs and enhances environmental credentials.

THELMOCO provides a full range: From entry level mopeds to motorbikes with ranges of up to 120 miles and speeds of up to 75mph. All can be fully

charged from an ordinary domestic socket and the larger bikes have a Type 2 charger, which allows charging on public chargers. They also supply a comprehensive range of accessories, making the choice to go electric that much easier.

Beautiful timeless products and gifts

In this issue of Products and Services Review, we are pleased to announce We Love Seasons as our Original Gift Designer of the Month for its outstanding range of seasonal decorations and gifts to help to add the finishing touch to all celebrations.

After launching its first collection, entitled ‘Magical Easter’ in 2019, We Love Seasons has continued to sell timeless seasonal decorations and gifts, which can be used year after year and become family treasures. Owned by Malene, We Love Seasons is a wholesale company based in Surrey, and its Christmas, Easter and Halloween collections feature decorations and gifts in contemporary designs inspired by the Malene’s Scandinavian Heritage.

Malene told us, “The products are very contemporary, and they add hygge (a Danish word describing a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality) to your home – most likely due to my Danish background. Quality of the products and customer service are of the utmost importance to us.”

Malene took her inspiration from the way that her parents would decorate the family home as she was growing up, “My earliest memories of growing up in Denmark are of my mother getting our home ready

straw, wool, felt, paper and more in Autumnal oranges, browns, creams, yellows and a touch of grey.

You can also find Autumnal Wreaths, bringing a touch of the season to any home, and these include cream pumpkins, orange sparkly wood or a combination of green sparkly wood and pumpkins. Pick your favourite and it can be used year after year to become a part of your memorable family traditions!

Malene continued, “Our final Autumn decorations are Autumnal Acorns, why not add some acorns to your seasonal décor? They are perfect to combine with

gorgeous I would buy the whole collection if I could!”, and yet again, “The items I ordered are great, the pumpkins are ideal for my mantelpiece. Very quick delivery and prompt service – my gifts arrived the day after my order. Will definitely order from again!”

Into the New Year, and as Valentine’s Day approaches, you can create a focal point with a tree adorned in heart garlands and hanging hearts or decorate the table with red hearts from the We Love Valentines collection. The final collection focuses around Easter time, and brings decorative eggs, chicks, bunnies and sheep into the shop or home. You can choose from hanging eggs and bunnies for an Easter tree, décor to create an Easter table and adorn the home, Easter wreaths, garlands and more from the Magical Easter collection.

– Brexit plus COVID but are still here and have only just begun and currently working on designs for our 2023 collection.”

Malene is very grateful to all customers for their support, and with future plans well under way, the future is bright. With these hand-picked seasonal collections, Malene has tried to capture the essence of what her family created at these special times of year, and We Love Seasons hopes that other families will create their own unique memories too.

for Christmas.” She continued, “Towards the end of November, she would begin to gather the most amazing decorations; homemade hearts made out of red felt would adorn the entrance to the living room, garlands made out of fresh pine would hang from the dining room doors, hand-painted figurines would sit on the windowsills, all under the watchful eye of Santa and his helpers, made out of stones with knitted scarves and hats. The main feature of course was the Christmas tree, decorated by my Dad with red baubles, lights, drums, Danish flags and glistening with fine gold lametta.”

These traditions continued at Easter-time too, when the table would be beautifully laid with yellow napkins and the fluffiest chicks, and Malene’s mother would fill a vase with branches from the garden, nestled with hand-painted papier-mâché eggs. With her hand-picked seasonal collections, Malene has tried to capture the essence of what her family created at these special times of year.

The Haunted Halloween and Autumnal Décor collection has everything you need to bring a touch of the season into your shop or home. There are pumpkins, acorns, wreaths and garlands to decorate in autumnal colours; and metal buckets, a haunted house, and ceramic and metal characters for a Halloween evening of trick or treating.

We Love Seasons also has other Autumnal products, including Pumpkins - what better reason to decorate the house with Pumpkins? Customers can choose from

pumpkins, to hang from a seasonal tree or use as decor on a seasonal table.”

Moving on from Autumn, we obviously begin to approach the Christmas season, and We Love Seasons has wonderful products to brighten any house and increase the festive feeling. Decorations in red, green, white, gold and a touch of grey and brown from Malene’s ‘Christmas Villa’ collection, and you will also find Father Christmas, gonks, stockings, snowmen, reindeers, Christmas trees and more to decorate your shop or home and plenty of baubles for the Christmas tree.

The amazing reviews of We Love Seasons products include, “My products arrived and they are absolutely

The past couple of years have been a struggle, as for most businesses, Malene told us, “It has been tough for us as a new company, as we had only just started when Brexit and the first lockdown happened, but we are still here thanks to many customers who have continued to buy from us! Another factor that has been very challenging has been the issues with shipping and late arrival of the products both in 2021 and again in 2022.
