We’re proud to be the biggest single provider of Higher Education courses in an FE college in England. And one of only three colleges in the country to receive a triple TEF gold rating* - we even outperformed some much larger universities and ones with hefty reputations too. It’s also worth knowing that many of our degrees are awarded by Lancaster University, which consistently ranks in the UK’s top ten. All of which are great reasons to consider doing a degree-level qualification with us.

Whilst we’re rightly proud of our world-famous light show and iconic tower, there’s more to Blackpool than meets the eye. A happening food scene, buzzing bars, great night life and a thriving LGBTQIA+ community all make Blackpool a fantastic place to be a student. There are well-known music festivals too and performance spaces like the Winter Gardens which host some of the biggest names in

University-level study is an investment like no other and we want to ensure your investment pays. That’s why all our degree-level courses are career focussed, why we employ industry-expert tutors to deliver them, and why we co-create our course content with local, regional and national employers to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills these employers want. We want it to provide you with meaningful employment that allows you to lead your best life.

You’re in
safe hands 8
To cover the cost of your degree, you may want to apply for a loan to help you pay your tuition fees and also support you with living expenses while you study. But that’s not all. Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be eligible for additional financial support from both the Government and B&FC. Our dedicated Financial Support page has everything you need: full details on what’s available, how to check if you’re eligible, and how to apply for your student loan.

Degrees done differently 14
Because we’re always looking to put our learners at the heart of everything we do, we’re happy to change things up. We understand that a traditional three-year degree isn’t the right fit for everyone. That’s why we offer flexible degree-level qualifications that let you study one year at a time.
NEW TWO YEAR BUSINESS DEGREE Our two-year honours degree in Business Management is designed to fast track your qualification. As well as save you thousands in tuition fees, it will also accelerate your career, giving you the chance to move into management or leadership roles earlier.

16
With more degree students than ever deciding to study locally, it’s good to know our Multiversity is just around the corner. Opening in 2028, it will offer a first-class learning environment in heart of Blackpool with a focus on making the crucial connection between study, work and progression - because a degree-level qualification should lead to more than a certificate. With most degrees awarded by Lancaster University, small classes for genuine one-to-one support and tutors with extensive industry experience, it’s higher education taken seriously.

rocket
science If you’re interested in developing a career in a highly skilled industry such as engineering, it’s good to know that Blackpool and The Fylde College is the lead institution for the Lancashire and Cumbria Institute of Technology (L&CIoT). IoTs were introduced by the Government to establish a national network of organisations offering outstanding technical education. As a result, certain degree qualifications we offer have been flagged as L&CIoT courses. What this means is that they not only offer exceptional technical training and access to fantastic facilities but also meet an identified skills gap in the region, indicating that employment opportunities are plentiful.

DEGREE-level
Courses The next few pages list the courses we offer, showing the year-on-year progression routes you can follow depending on where you start. You’ll notice that some of our courses offer a fouryear pathway including a Foundation Year. This is a new addition - ideal if you’re ready to study for a degree but don’t have the right qualifications. This means you can enrol on a programme now that could eventually lead to a full honours degree awarded by one of the UK’s top universities.
