Since 2014, DeMolay in Arizona has risen 13 spots in total membership to become one of the largest jurisdictions in DeMolay International. DeMolay's historic growth is fueled by generous support from our donor community.
8 Years of Positive Growth Since 2014
Only global disruption--the COVID-19 Pandemic-could interfere with our historic growth over the last decade. DeMolay in Arizona is 1 of 7 jurisdictions to post a net positive growth from 2014-2023.
358 New Members Since 2014
Over the last decade, DeMolay in Arizona has grown at a rapid pace, changing the lives of hundreds of young leaders by providing them opportunities to grow and learn in a safe place.
4 International Officers Since 2014
DeMolay in Arizona boasts a proud streak of growth that has been recognized by its peers. Four leaders from Arizona have been elected to serve DeMolay at its highest level.
On July 8, 2023, Steve Johnston took over as Chief Executive Officer of DeMolay in Arizona. He becomes Arizona's thirteenth Chief Executive since 1921. In his role, Mr. Johnston will advise the young men of DeMolay in Arizona and advocate for their vision to various stakeholders, including our Foundation.
The Foundation is excited to work with Mr. Johnston as he embarks on his treasured role advising the young leaders of DeMolay in Arizona. We look forward to enacting plans to maximize our decades-old partnership.
On June 24, 2023, William R. Gordon was elected by DeMolay International to serve as its Junior Vice President. His election marks the start of a three-year journey to become President of DeMolay International in 2025. His election also makes him the fourth International Officer from Arizona since 2014.
William R. Gordon Junior Vice President, DeMolay Int lThe Foundation is proud to congratulate Mr. Gordon on his election. Over the last several years, he has been a stalwart in support of DeMolay and our Foundation. We look forward to working with and supporting you.
It is truly an honor to serve DeMolay in Arizona as the State President and to represent our organization to the Arizona DeMolay Foundation. Few young men will ever experience the professional learning that takes place while serving on a professional Foundation, and I will do my best to represent DeMolay in Arizona as eloquently as possible.
As an Ex-Officio Director, I am certain that we will maintain a constant, thorough communication. We will ensure that the needs of the young leaders are clearly communicated and met as best as possible. We must also give thanks to the Foundation, for without their continued and loyal support we would not be able to provide an amazing DeMolay experience. The duty of care is truly represented by the legacy fund built to sustain our operations for generations.
Throughout this year, I look forward to serving the members of DeMolay, expanding our membership, and strengthening our Chapters. I plan to make this year one that no one will forget. Together, DeMolay in Arizona and the Foundation will work to ensure the young leaders we develop will grow to be productive citizens with real life leadership and life skills.
