The Arizona DeMolay Foundation’s mission is to enhance the future of DeMolay in Arizona by providing the financial resources they need to grow and operate.
Our subsidiary, the Arizona DeMolay Foundation Community Initiative operates as a Qualifying Charitable Organization, which allows it to take in tax-creditable donations. Its revenues are split between two causes:
Scholarships to Qualifying Low-Income Arizona
Students Seeking Continued Education
The Arizona DeMolay Foundation to Benefit DeMolay in Arizona
Chase W. Gordon
President Arizona DeMolay Foundation
The Arizona DeMolay Foundation and Community Initiative are proud to present our 2023–2024 Impact Report. Throughout our history, there have been a handful of program years that have been foundational. For instance, in 1977, our Foundation made its first-ever distribution to DeMolay in Arizona. A modest $50. In 1990, the Foundation began a three decades long tradition of providing a no-strings-attached annual disbursement check.
William R. Gordon President, ADF Community Initiative
Like those years––and many others––the 2023–2024 program year was equally foundational. Our Foundation has begun a fundamental realignment of its goals and mission. Throughout this year, we have taken stock of our ability to impact DeMolay in Arizona and we came out with a simple answer: we can be doing so much more.
We encourage you to read our Report and see how our Foundation plans to enhance the future of DeMolay in Arizona like never before in 2024–2025. In particular, we urge your attention to our Vision 2030 Strategic Plan, which is designed to help our Foundation amplify its impact on DeMolay in Arizona.

Our Foundation has taken notice of DeMolay International’s new Vision 2030 Strategic Plan. In keeping with a worldwide shift in strategic focus, we are taking immediate steps to tie our priorities to those of DeMolay International’s.
Chase W. Gordon, President
Each Chapter will receive $1,500 to host a large-scale membership event. Chapters may choose to use the money on membership and retention programs to maximize the potential for new members.
For the first time in our history, the Foundation is providing direct monetary support to local DeMolay in Arizona Chapters. This is our largest single donation to Chapters ever.
In keeping with Vision 2030, our Foundation is taking an affirmative step to help DeMolay in Arizona meet growth requirements with direct membership support.
In alignment with Vision 2030, the Foundation will have direct meetings with Chapters to tailor their membership event after the submission of a Grant Application. The Foundation will play an active role in helping Chapters plan a modern and successful event.
If Chapters have any leftover funds, the Foundation is also helping Chapters deploy those funds strategically. Chapters will be able to seek approval to use the funds to cover insurance costs, promote retention efforts, and fund marketing initiatives.
During this last year, we have continued to be able to raise significant amounts for our Community Initiative. It remains our flagship campaign and will continue to be a prominent feature of our activities going forward.
William R. Gordon, ADFCI President

Our donors are lucky to be able to have an organization that not only supports DeMolay in Arizona, but which supports the development of their communities through educational scholarships. We are proud to amplify the impact of our donors, and to support these students as they seek to attain their degrees and give back throughout their careers. We should all be proud of this incredible opportunity to help those who need it most.
