WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THE POWER TO DO? Along with Bank of America’s new branding, this concept strives for innovation, self service, personalization, and flexibility in a high-tech, interactive space. With a design that is clean and functional, users will have the power to engage in Bank of America’s services to become financially responsible, or thrive in a social setting that is suitable for a college campus.

HOW COULD BANK OF AMERICA BE INCORPORATED INTO A COLLEGE CAMPUS? “The primary form of mass media advertising by academic institutions in the U.S. is, arguably, through their athletic programs,” -Harvard Business School Assistant Professor of marketing Doug J. Chung.

According to Forbes, studies show a significant increase in undergraduate applications and direct profits, after a college’s athletic program gaines recognition. Incorporating a banking facility with mixed use, that’s functional in a college campus would not only engage students, but captivate the attention of locals, alumni, fans, and prospectes as well.

While the educational seminar is active during the bank’s hours of operation, this mobile facility can be split into two parts and transported onto other areas of the campus for special events, due to it’s lightweight construction.

Because this temporary banking facility is made out of anodized aluminum panels, it makes it a perfect model to transport safely to and from the campus. This mobile facility can simply be placed on a flat surface anywhere on a college campus that suits it best.

The facility separates into two units, allowing the main banking center to stay intact, while the educational seminar and conference room dispatch.

The educational seminar and private meeting room are transformed into an energetic space for families, students, alumni and sponsors that contribute towards athletic events to socialize and interact.

Other special guests, such as the Chancellor of the university, are also likely to engage in this space. The meeting room transforms into a unique lounge that guests can utilize during athletic events as well.

To help college programs, Bank of America can offer seminars for the College of Business, or other banking and finance-related majors offered in colleges.

In addition, the college or university could also work with Bank of America to prepare students for future careers through internships and networking events.

While the other half of the building is being utilized elsewhere on campus, whether its for a club or athletic event, the main banking equipment stays intact for the convenience of users.

TELLER EXPERIENCE

SELF-SERVICE PERSONALIZATION Because this banking facility will be occupied by students of all ages and community members, users will have an opportunity to interact with a teller in person or use one of the virtual teller screens. Students also have the option to schedule a video conference using their Student I.D. on one of the screens.

Light remains blue until the screen is in use. If the user needs help, the light will turn red.

For best privacy, users can communicate with virtual tellers behind these screens.

Merchandise is displayed and locked safely.

Representatives can simply unlock the glass sliding doors if someone requests to make a purchase.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & AWARENESS

To persuade students to attend the seminars, graphics are displayed through out the bank, along with interactive screens for budgeting programs. This facility encourages bank users of all ages to learn about online services and ways to enhance their financial literacy in Bank of America locations as well as their homes.

All screens used in the bank have privacy coatings integrated for maximum security. In addition, the facade of the building has smart shield technology installed between the glass panels to protect the users privacy when using any interactive screens or ATMs.

Designed with the Bank of America mobile application, students are able to access their account and perform quick tasks that involve physical, money-handling such as cash deposits or cash withdraws.
