Ayesa stands at the forefront of providing comprehensive, sustainable marine & coastal engineering solutions to public and private clients around the world. Our mission is to innovate and offer high-value engineering solutions in the port, coastal, and marine sectors.

Our team, recognised for its multidisciplinary expertise, consistently delivers on diverse maritime projects. From commercial port infrastructures, coastal resorts and shoreline management, to offshore renewable energy redevelopments, we cover the full spectrum of expertise and services.

Each project’s unique challenges are met with our unwavering commitment to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations, fostering lasting partnerships built on trust and mutual success.

Client-Centric Innovation at Ayesa’s Marine and Coastal Division

Our Marine and Coastal Division composed of multidisciplinary leading specialists are dedicated to crafting state-of-the-art, value-led solutions for marine infrastructure projects globally, regardless of their complexity. or size.

At the core of our approach is a deep understanding of our clients’ specific needs, enabling us to tailor our services to exceed the brief. We offer comprehensive services throughout the project lifecycle, from master planning and design to upgrading and modernising existing structures, always with an eye on cost-efficiency, project resilience, and sustainability.

Additionally, we conduct meticulous environmental assessments and monitoring to guarantee compliance with environmental standards and perform feasibility studies to lay the groundwork for the planning and execution of successful projects.

Delivering the Highest Standards

Our team specialises in coastal modelling and design, including the planning and implementation of both hard and soft coastal protection structures. We also execute dredging and reclamation projects, as well as devise flood and erosion protection schemes and beach management programs. Our comprehensive project management consulting services include construction support and Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services, ensuring the highest standards of project execution from start to finish.

Global Impact

Our project portfolio showcases our significant global contributions to marine engineering.

Our international work includes extensive consulting services at Dubai Port, Aqaba New Port and on Saudi Cruise, which is pioneering the Kingdom’s entry into the cruise industry.

In Ireland, we’re proud of our work on several notable projects, including the award-winning Haulbowline Island Remediation project, the strategic masterplan for Dublin Port, and the development of Greenore Port — Ireland’s only privately owned port, now equipped to handle vessels of up to 39,999 gross tons. Moving to the UK, our expertise was applied to projects like Broughty Ferry in Scotland, Peel Ports - Liverpool 2, and Lowestoft Eastern Energy Facility (LEEF), which supports the North Sea’s offshore wind sector.

Using Local Relationships & Local Experts

Our local experts provide dedicated guidance throughout the consenting process, helping clients manage complex regulatory landscapes, including those governed by the recently established Marine Area Regulatory Authority (MARA) in Ireland. We assist in securing essential Marine Area Consents and Marine Usage Licences, which are crucial for advancing offshore developments and site investigations. Our commitment goes beyond merely meeting project specifications; we aim to provide marine engineering services that generate a return on investment and foster positive, lasting impacts on communities and the environment.

Subsea Pipelines

Core Capabilities: Leading in Subsea Pipeline Engineering

We combine our marine and coastal experience with environmental expertise and a deep understanding of water and civil engineering to lead the subsea pipeline sector. This rapidly evolving and complex market is one of our wellhoned specialisms. Central to our approach is a commitment to serving existing and emerging coastal communities, achieving a delicate balance between environmental sustainability and the economics of development.

Catering to diverse challenges and projects

Our expertise covers a diverse range of projects, including water desalination and security, effluent treatment plants, stormwater flood defenses on land, power generation, and district cooling systems. These efforts are closely linked to the marine environment through subsea pipelines, channels, and culverts, essential for delivering saline water to onshore facilities and handling the effluents discharged as by-products.

Partnering for Success

We work closely with stakeholders, including local authorities, government agencies, and investment groups, acting as the Owner’s Engineer. We aim to not just meet but surpass project and client expectations by developing innovative design solutions. Our integrated approach allows us to support projects from start to finish, offering expert advice at key milestones and leading strategies from EPC tendering to procurement, ensuring project success.

Conversely, our vast experience with EPC Contractors allows us to oversee the design process from concept to construction. We craft detailed, cost-effective, and feasible designs that fulfil project objectives and client expectations, ensuring a seamless transition from blueprint to reality.

Precision Engineering: Coastal to Comprehensive Design

Our proposition comprehensively fulfills all engineering needs, encompassing everything from specialised coastal modelling studies to complete design requirements. Our dedicated in-house coastal modelling team excels in determining accurate coastal conditions for all design purposes. They are adept at conducting recirculation and outfall dispersion studies, ensuring both engineering solutions and environmental compliance are achieved. Crucially, this team of modellers works alongside our engineers, who help to create realistic and coherent modelling simulations and scenarios.

Our design teams can fulfil multiple design requirements, including hydraulic modelling, on-bottom stability design studies for pipelines, and assessments of pipeline routing, trenching, and profiling. We also specialise in the design of diffusers and structural components such as pipeline anchor block collars and intake towers, all integrated with mechanical dosing systems. Through this multifaceted approach, Ayesa ensures a seamless and comprehensive engineering solution tailored to your project.
