BATHROOM REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME
CLC completed 62 bathroom refurbishments at Edward Arnold Court for long-time clients Housing 21. A typical turnaround for each bathroom was 10 days, with the residents kept well informed throughout the process. In addition to the 62 resident bathrooms, one guest room bathroom was replaced, and two communal WCs were refurbished.
Housing 21 properties offer Extra Care and Retirement Living for older people, so resident engagement is always a top priority in our projects with this client. They operate in 215 local authority areas and manage over 24,000 properties across the UK. As with any project where our operatives are working in people’s homes, we are respectful and mindful.
The
bathroom we had before was very difficult to keep clean, wasn’t very nice at all, but the new bathrooms are absolutely lovely. The people who fitted them made an excellent job of it and had no problems since.

The tradespeople who put the bathroom in were really good. They came when they said they were coming, they kept the place really tidy. At the end of every day they were tidying everything up so that everything looked good.

The team ensures that they treat the homes of the client’s residents with the utmost respect –treating both property and occupants as if they were their own or a relative’s.
Cleanliness and tidiness were essential to avoid leaving the residents with mess or hazards between phases of work. Communication was always a priority, ensuring that the work was carried out at times convenient for the residents.
As with many projects for Housing 21, we hosted coffee mornings and resident events to help residents become more familiar with the operatives working in their homes, and as a gesture of appreciation.
A coffee morning was organised to give back to the residents.
Enhanced the appearance of the resident’s homes.
