Jatin Jain finishes fifth in his class
Spain's Jordi of Bigrock provides the service support for the privateer's debut abroad

Guadix in Spain. From this 1000km was special stage exploring the Gorafe Desert which consisted of sand, dry river beds and rocky terrain. Jatin Jain after winning two back-to-back rallies in the Indian National Rally Championship 2018 and 2019 set out to participate in his debut International rally. The service and backup support was provided by Mr Jordi of Bigrock in Spain. He finished in fifth position in the upto 250cc class and stood 66th overall which was a great job done as a privateer without any sponsors. While the day used to begin at 7am every day, under Zero degree temperature, he had to pull his socks up right from 8pm every night after receiving the roadbook, followed by a briefing and notifications. For Day 1 start, he had 81st position for the 126kms Special Stage. It was a 30second interval start, it was too difficult to overtake en route and it was too dusty but upgraded navigational skills helped him to keep up the pace. Day 2 was about 210kms Special Stage, and the third day of 225kms Special Stage was a
disastrous one, as a Spanish rider lost his life and the day was called off. Day 4 was about 225kms and Day 5 had 168kms of Special Stage. "Each day, the transport section began from the city of Guadix, near Granada, covering a minimum distance of over 250kms for stages and back to Bivouac 2.
