GILL thrills, but win eludes. BOP AIAH‑MURTHY TOP INDIAN pair at APRC
On this occasion I would like to thank my readers, advertisers, well‑wishers and my Auto Track team and family. Completing 18 years of circulation is a milestone which no other Indian magazine for motorsports has achieved. Travelling alone in this path, we have periodically been upgrading ourselves and rising to the occasion by retaining the print edition and have also managed to equally grow, digitally.
Time and again, we have expanded our contribution digitally when it comes to Automotive and Motorsport news.
The good news for this year comes from the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) which is scheduled to organise two street circuit races this season, one in Goa and the other, in Navi Mumbai. The league races will not take place in the two destinations that hosted IRF earlier. Hyderabad took a back seat after elections, and the first street night race was held in Chennai last year, but will not happen this year due to upcoming Assembly elections. With South Indian states losing out the street circuit charm due to various governance reasons, the new dawn this season begins from one of the Tourist‑ destination states of Goa, and Navi Mumbai will also witness a night race. It is expected to set a record for setting the longest track for a night race in India. Thus, the Indian Racing Festival 2025 will conclude with three circuit races and two street races. Simultaneously, the two‑wheeler Indian Supercross Racing League makes a comeback after a year's gap, this time with much visibility and promise.

The remaining two tracks at Nanoli and Bengaluru are running behind schedule, and are expected to host races only in 2026.
The festival like ambience at Raipur is once again on cards this season, returning to the calendar of the National Supercross championship after a gap of over 6 years. Promoter Godspeed Racing, thus, expands its reach further into the Northern parts of India.

At some stages, it looked like as if he was in a different car altogether. Indeed, to be getting the racing juices flowing all through two days, Bonu was confident. “I kept getting better and better. I enjoyed the weekend,” he said.
As for the rest of the field comprising Ojas Surve and Abhijit Vadavalli, it was more of watching Bonu tease his car on two days in succession. He did not want to say much on how faster his car was on an incident‑ filled last race on Sunday.

Bhuvan Bonu from Team MSport managed to win the race with a thin margin on Abhijit Vadavalli from Team Momentum, Ojas Surve from Team DTS Racing finished third with over 16‑sec difference

“It was one of those moments where your stomach drops and your brain screams 'How are we

" T o m a k e a d i f f e r e n c e i n t h e standings, we'll have to go 70% faster not just in speed, but in d e c i s i o n m

A NEW VOICE IN THE CAR
The biggest change this round? A new co‑driver Syed Salman, known fondly as Sal.
