The highlight of this year will be India's first documentary series on Indian Motorsports history “Breaking the Barriers – India's Race to Glory” on big screen. The Chapter 1 of the total 4 chapters, as of now, was on big screen in Mumbai and it is expected to spread across most of the metros.
While the fmsci calendar has many Nationals at the midwaystage of their championships, the just allotted Sprint Championship also began its regional rounds. The TSD championship and JK Racing Championship are expected to begin shortly. Meanwhile, the MRF MoGrip National Rally Championship for 2wheelers, will be the first to finish its five rounds in July. Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC) shall host two backtoback events in the span of two weeks. MRF 2w Rally Nationals' concluding round comes first and the third round of the Blueband Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 4W will be held the following fortnight.
With the change of guard at fmsci due to happen in September, hectic activity is already underway with key aspirants out to garner support.
With hardly two weeks to go for the RFC India round in Goa, rain has already created havoc and it looks set to be the wettest event so far. Likewise, the upcoming Monsoon Scooter Rally to be held in Nashik is also expected to give the forgotten feel of monsoon this season as the stages are receiving heavy rainfall.
Shortly the two leagues, the Indian Racing League and the Indian Supercross Racing League, are yet to announce the complete dates and venues. Fans eagerly await to know the number of rounds and all eyes will be on the street circuit in Chennai.
