Healthy Inspirations grows by helping women lose weight As more Australian women look for the best way to lose weight, this business keeps growing Healthy Inspirations was created to meet a gap in the market for women who were not being well served by gyms or weight loss programs. Up to two thirds of Australian women want to lose weight, but far less do anything about it as they simply don't have confidence in the options available in their local community. Women realise that it is unlikely that they will lose weight by joining a gym, as gyms do not offer any comprehensive weight management programs. This is why there has been a huge growth in quick-fix solutions sold by pharmacies, but the pharmacies do not offer any structured supervised exercise solution to keep the weight off in the long term. On the business side, many women have been concerned that to succeed in a gym franchise, you need to maintain a high number of members paying small fees. This may be fine in the first year, but if women don't lose weight, or they get bored, the business will lose revenue unless it can keep replacing its customers. Unless you have word-of-mouth marketing from happy members working

for you, your marketing costs will increase. Healthy Inspirations is different. Most centres reach break even with less than 200 members, as the weight loss program delivers additional revenue from weight loss program fees and profits from supporting products. The Great Shape Program has been developed by ateam of leading Australian dietitians to make healthy weight loss easier for the members, the franchisee and their team. There are now over 10,000 women who have lost weight at Healthy Inspirations centres in Australia and New Zealand. The on-site training school teaches the franchisee and their team everything that they need to know to recruit members, start them on the program and support their ongoing weight loss efforts. The profits of the centre are boosted by the sale of weight loss support products. Members learn how to lose weight creating their own main meals, which are supplemented by between-meal snacks that they buy in bulk from the centre. The equipment has been developed and made in Australia to the highest

ergonomic standards. Franchisor Jamie Hayes says, "Many people do not understand the exercise science advantages of adjustable hydraulic exercise stations that help members of all ages get a safe, effective and balanced workout. Our equipment is adjustable so women can progress as they get fitter. Also, hydraulic circuits avoid the injury risk of fast moving circuits that use weights. Members from other women's workout studios are surprised to discover how effective our workout is and that's only one part of our weight loss program. The franchisees get complete business support that includes centre design, recruiting, on-site training school and incentre training programs, local area marketing (that the franchisee controls), e-marketing, their own web site, and management assistance. Both Westpac and ANZ have assisted franchisees with finance. To find out about what's involved visit www.healthyinspirations.com.au or call the national franchisee support office on 1300 799 669.
