Our Story

No3 at Nightingale Place is a bright and modern bistro set in busy Clapham near the famed common. Nestled in an ultra-modern complex with manicured and secret spaces, No3 is in the heart of it all, close to Clapham South tube station. Perfect for meetings, receptions and cinema events, our venue is warm and inviting. Our culinary team turns British favourites into bespoke creations with each new, seasonal menu. In the summer, our team prepares luxurious hampers to enjoy on the green. Located within walking distance of public transport, experience an oasis inside the bustling city of London.

Our Spaces

No3 at Nightingale Place is situated within a chic, modern complex near Clapham Common. The private dining room benefits from exotic-inspired design elements and plush furnishings. It’s ideal for business meetings and private functions where comfort and opulence are both required. The stunning restaurant and bistro incorporate warm oranges, soft suede and stunning gold elements to transport you out of the bustling city. In the hotter months, enjoy our stunning outdoor space. Take a monogrammed seat at the bar for a decadent cocktail or visit our in-house cinema for a private viewing.

Location

No3 at Nightingale Place is located near Clapham Common. Originally a parcel of common land used for grazing, the Victorians turned it into a recreational ground and horse-riding venue. When WWII struck, local residents turned the ground into allotments for growing common food. Today, the borough of Lambeth owns the land and it hosts carnivals and music festivals. Underneath the busy streets of Clapham, microgreens are grown sustainably using hydroponics in abandoned tunnels.

History

No3 at Nightingale Place is close by the Holy Trinity Church on Clapham Common. Famed for its parishioners, the Clapham Sect, they are responsible for the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. Led by William Wilberforce, they campaigned against slavery from their base at the Holy Trinity Church. Their efforts bore fruit in 1807. A WWIIdamaged plaque on the side of the church bears a long inscription, part of which reads “[they] rested not until the curse of slavery was swept away from all parts of the British Dominions.” AS a place of historic significance, it’s worth a visit.

Afternoon Tea

Enjoy a great British culinary tradition in a luxurious setting. Our chefs carefully arrange the finest local ingredients into a scrumptious Afternoon Tea fit for royalty.
