Julles Posh Food Co. is just such a place. Owner/Executive Chef Julliet Bhupesh says the restaurant’s menus are based on moderation. “We don’t believe in depriving your life of delicious flavors or making certain foods off limits, but instead focus on portion control, superb ingredients and balanced nutrition.” Though the focus at Julles is on health, the food is anything but bland. Everything is made on-site, from salads to entrees and desserts to cold-pressed juices. The varied menu includes interesting choices such as Salmon Shrimp Cakes, Chicken Shrimp Roulade with Saffron Curry Sauce, Quinoa Crusted Salmon with Amarillo Miso Sauce, Asian Vegetables and Quinoa, and Black Rice and Asparagus. Along with the variety of menu items, Julles offers several dining options including eating in at the cafe’s East Memphis location, carry-out and online ordering. Customers can customize meal plans by choosing from 14 lunch and dinner items. Plan options include three or five days of meals for one, a three- or five-day family plan (each serving a family of three) or a five-day dinner plan.

The food comes delivered in 100% recyclable, microwave- and ovensafe containers and is delivered to Germantown, East Memphis, Collierville, Memphis and Cordova for a $5 fee. (Delivery outside these areas is available for a slightly higher fee.) Orders placed by Wednesday night are delivered on Sunday. Having worked in India and the U.K., Chef Julles brings new tastes and flavors to Memphis, her family’s adopted hometown. “Memphis is home to us, she says. “My husband and I have a seven-year-old daughter. And who doesn’t like home?”
