Mid-Season Slump Charlotte Murphy, Club Sports Representative

As of right now the women’s club rugby team is struggling to keep the team going. The players, captains, and officers all work day and night to keep the team afloat, but it is proving to be a difficult task. With the spring of 2020 season already underway we have been consistently behind on numbers, and in turn have yet to play a game. The officers of the team have decided that it may be best for everyone if we were to cut practice times down to only two days a week. These days will be on Tuesday and Thursday with any extra work being held outside those windows. The team is also contemplating whether or not we will be able to compete in any matches this season that are qualified as

Women’s Rugby matrix matches. Hopefully we will be able to pull together some more numbers and kick out a fantastic season, but for now the team is sticking to the basics. All in all, everyone is working day and night to make this season the best it can be. The team may also start looking for new fundraising ideas to keep everyone occupied.
