“THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME” SUSTAINABILITY CAMPAIGN
The coronavirus pandemic had overwhelming economic implications for Asolo Rep and our ability to continue to bring the community stellar performances. Unrestricted gifts to the sustainability campaign supported artistic excellence and new play development, sustained important and deeply integrated education and community engagement programs, kept local jobs in place for artists, artisans, and administrators, and allowed us to plan for tomorrow. Asolo Rep extends deep gratitude to all those who supported this vital and necessary campaign over the past year. Gifts over $125 are listed below. It is with deep gratitude that Asolo Rep thanks the United States Federal Government for their staunch support during the international health crisis. Over the past 15 months, Asolo Rep has received nearly $3 million in financial assistance in the form of the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program (SVOG) that helped mitigate the loss of earned ticket revenue. It is also with deep appreciation that Asolo Rep thanks the Sarasota County Commissioners and the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, who utilized CARES Act funding to support the arts. Asolo Rep’s Board, administration, artists and artisans are grateful that government sees the intrinsic value, purpose and role that high-quality performing arts has in our community. 16
