WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF ASIADES Asiades has its origins more than two centuries ago, where the first out of five generations of my family began his career as furniture maker. For generations to come the profession of furniture maker is well bedded within the family. In the city of Apeldoorn, the Netherlands this authentic Dutch craftsmanship came to life. Well considered,I choose not to take over my father’s business after he graduates. I decided to explore other possibilities and opportunities within the modern furniture industry. I ended up meeting an importer from Asia who trades in rattan and in 1986 as a hobby so to speak, in a shed next to my house, I started to make my own furniture. All the experience and knowledge that my grandfather passed on to me proved to be of great value and I’d like to share this craftsmanship with you. Enjoy!

We create various furniture for dining and lounging in many different styles. While designing happends most of the time in the Netherlands. We produce mainly in China
in Haining we make the DESOFA, in Tongxiang the SOCHA and in Anji the DUTSH & ITSESE collection. ILBLUA we make in the south of China near Canton. The HOUSE OF SAKK collection is as it says in Indonesia near Surabaya where we ever started more than 20 years ago.

I am 26 years old, living together in the center of Deventer. I have hobbies like, soccer, both in real life and playing FIFA soccer on the PlayStation 4. Besides that, I like going out for a nice dinner and relax.

From all the dishes in the whole world I most enjoy the typical Dutch stewed pears.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ASIADES FOR YOUR WORK?
I choose Asiades for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I like the branch the company is in. Furniture really speaks to me and to sell the high-quality designs that Asiades produces really excites me. I really love to trade with different cultures, getting to know how the people work, filling their needs in furniture. I also love the variations in work, the office in Apeldoorn, being at furniture shows and visiting the customers.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CITY IN THE WHOLE WORLD?
ASIADES DESIGNS AND PRODUCES LOTS OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF FURNITURE, BUT WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ONE?
I have been working for a short period at Asiades right now, but from what I’ve seen until now I definitely love the ELEMENT LOUNGE SEAT.
I’ve seen lots of cities in the world, but the city I am born in and live in: Deventer, is my most favorite. I don’t mind being gone for a longer period, but when I come back to Deventer, I feel directly at home again.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE THING ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
The work I do at Asiades makes me travel the world. That is of course for a reason. I love traveling, so typically my number one thing would be travelling.
