Do you make things in a workshop, brew ale, carve wood, make clothes, grow plants, keep reptiles, work from your shed or use the space for a hobby or collection? Would you be interested in letting other shed lovers visit your shed as part of a Village Shed Tour, over a weekend to discuss ideas and interests? If you would like to discuss the possibility of taking part in a Village Open Shed Weekend then please let me know and I will arrange an informal meeting in the pub to discuss the idea. ASHCOTT PARISH COUNCIL - DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING Ashcott Parish Council has renewed its contract with the South Western Ambulance Trust for another four years and a new defibrillator has been installed on the outside wall of the Village Hall and is available for use 24/7. A training course has been arranged on Saturday, 16th February at 2.00 pm in the Village Hall. This training consists of an introduction to how it works and a demonstration on how to use it. There will also be advice on basic first aid when dealing with a cardiac arrest. Should you need to use it the machine gives you verbal step by step instructions on precautions to be taken and how to proceed; the defibrillator will only shock someone who is suffering a cardiac arrest so you cannot cause any harm to the patient. Please come along to this training session YOUR ACTIONS COULD SAVE A LIFE
