Das Unternehmen ist ein Familienunternehmen und unser engagiertes Team arbeitet - wie eine Familie - sehr eng und kooperativ zusammen, um die beste Qualität in einem unserer Resorts, Apartments oder Restaurants in Österreich zu gewährleisten.

Family time is quality time and is often mentioned to show the importance of the time spent together with family. That was one of the reasons why we changed the name of our company group to Alpin Family at the beginning of 2018.

The company is a family business and our committed team works very closely and cooperatively to ensure the best quality in one of our resorts, flats or restaurants in Austria.

PINZGAU EINE REGION DER SUPERLATIVE M IT JEDER MENGE GESCH ICHTE A REGION OF SUPERLATIVES WITH LOTS OF H ISTORY

Der Bezirk Pinzgau ist flächenmäßig der größte Salzburger Bezirk und liegt im gebirgigen Süd-Westen des Bundeslandes. Das Gebiet ist vermutlich seit der Jungsteinzeit besiedelt, archäologische Funde datieren eine Besiedlung zumindest seit der Bronze- und Eisenzeit.

Kultur und Brauchtum werden im Pinzgau groß geschrieben, die Menschen hier sind stolz auf ihre Wurzeln. Mit zahlreichen Brauchtumsfesten werden die Traditionen für die heutigen Generationen erhalten. Es gibt viele historische Schlösser und Burgen, die von einer längst vergangenen Zeit bekunden. Auch Schaubergwerke und sogar ein Keltendorf zeugen von der vielfältigen Geschichte der Region.

The Pinzgau district is the largest district in Salzburg and is located in the mountainous south of the federal state. The area has probably been inhabited since the Neolithic Age, archaeological finds date settlement to at least the Bronze and Iron Ages.

Culture and customs are very important in the Pinzgau, and the people here are proud of their roots. Numerous customs festivals preserve the traditions for today’s generations. There are many historic castles and palaces that bear witness to a time long past.

Show mines and even a Celtic village demonstrate the region’s varied history.

‘There is a lot to see and explore’

Lebten die Einwohner früher hauptsächlich von Berg- und Holzbau sowie der Landwirtschaft, so hat sich der Pinzgau seit den 1950er Jahren dank des Aufschwungs des Skitourismus und Österreichs erstem Gletscherskigebiet am Kitzsteinhorn zu einer international beliebten Urlaubsdestination entwickelt. Durch stetige Pionierarbeit glänzt der Bezirk heute mit einigen der bekanntesten und modernsten Skigebieten Europas und war schon öfters Austragungsort von Weltmeisterschaften.

Auch abseits der Pisten gibt es hier viel zu sehen. Die Alpen prägen die Landschaft und sind allgegenwärtig. Um diese Landschaft zu schützen, wurde der National Park Hohe Tauern gegründet. Er ist mit 1.800 Quadratkilometern der zweitgrößte National Park Europas. Die größten Wasserfälle Europas, die Großglockner Hochalpenstraße, zahlreiche beeindruckende Gipfel unter und über 3.000 Metern Höhe, Gletscher, Bäche, Moore und Seen gibt es hier. Unglaubliche 10.000 Tierarten haben sich diesen Lebensraum zu ihrem Zuhause gemacht.

While the inhabitants used to live mainly from mining, timber construction and agriculture, the Pinzgau has developed into an internationally popular holiday destination since the 1950s thanks to the boom in ski tourism and Austria’s first glacier ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn. Thanks to constant pioneering work, the district now contains some of the most famous and modern ski areas in Europe and has been the venue for world championships a couple of times already.

There is also a lot to see off the slopes. The Alps shape the landscape and are omnipresent. The Hohe Tauern National Park was founded to protect this landscape. With 1,800 square kilometres it is the second largest national park in Europe.

Europe’s largest waterfalls, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, numerous impressive peaks below and above 3,000 metres, glaciers, streams, moors and lakes are all here. An incredible 10,000 species of animals have made this habitat their home.

Mit 100 Prozent Schneesicherheit, vielfältigen Pisten, Funslopes für Groß und Klein sowie faszinierenden Snowparks und Freeride-Routen zählt Zell am See-Kaprun zu den attraktivsten Wintersportregionen Österreichs. Dank des Ticketverbunds Ski ALPIN CARD können Schneebegeisterte insgesamt 408 Pistenkilometer inklusive Gletscher, 121 Anlagen und einem Maximum an Attraktionen mit einem einzigen Skipass erobern – und das bei einer extra langen Saison von Oktober bis Frühsommer. Ende 2019 wurde in Zell am See-Kaprun ein Generationentraum wahr: Die K-ONNECTION, die Verbindung des Ortes Kaprun mit zwei neuen Bahnen über den Maiskogel auf das Kitzsteinhorn und somit direkt auf den Gletscher, ging in Betrieb. Die Fertigstellung des zellamseeXpress schaffte zudem die direkte Verbindung vom Glemmtal ins Panorama- und Familienskigebiet Schmittenhöhe und somit eine einfache Anbindung an den Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.

Im Sommer fasziniert Zell am See-Kaprun Outdoor-Fans, die die Natur am liebsten zu Fuß oder auf dem Rad erobern. Thanks to the Ski ALPIN CARD ticket network, snow enthusiasts can enjoy a total of 408 kilometres of pistes including glacier, 121 lifts and a maximum of attractions with just one ski pass - and all this with an extra-long season from October to early summer. A dream of generations came true in Zell am See-Kaprun at the end of 2019, when the K-ONNECTION, which links the village of Kaprun with two new lifts via the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn and thus directly onto the glacier, went into operation. The completion of the zellamseeXpress also created a direct connection from the Glemmtal Valley to the Schmittenhรถhe panorama and family ski resort, thus providing an easy connection to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.

In summer, Zell am See-Kaprun fascinates outdoor fans who prefer to conquer nature on foot or by bike. A total of around 400 kilometres of well-signposted hiking trails between the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, the Schmittenhรถhe and the crystal-clear Lake Zell - from the lakeside tour to the three-thousand-metre-high mountain - lead through the mountain world on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The region offers fantastic routes and single trails for leisure cyclists,

road bike fans, sporty mountain bikers and downhill riders. Für Wintersportler und Ausflugsgäste bringt die Verbindung deutlich kürzere Wege, Ski-in Ski-out direkt von Kaprun zum und vom Gletscher und höchsten Komfort im Kaprun Center samt Talstation, Kassen, Skidepot und Sportgeschäft, Restaurant Maisi Alm und Maisi Flitzer. For winter sports fans and excursion guests, this means significantly shorter distances, Ski-in Ski-out between Kaprun and the glacier, and the total convenience of the Kaprun Center with valley station, ticket windows, ski depot and a sports shop, Maisi Alm Restaurant and Maisi Flitzer. Each section of this ultra-modern cableway reveals unique perspectives and fascinating insights into the pristine, high-alpine winter landscapes. Traveling a total distance of twelve kilometers from the valley station up to TOP OF SALZBURG at 3029 m, you will rise a total of 2261 vertical meters and traverse four different climate zones. ICE CAMP – PRESENTED BY AUDI The ICE CAMP on the Kitzsteinhorn offers the astonishing constellation of an art space and automobile presentations at over 2600 meters above sea level. Three interconnected igloos – each twelve meters in diameter – are designed by Carinthian artist Max Seiwald. Around 60 tons of ice and 2500 cubic meters of snow go into this work of art. The ICE CAMP opens in mid-January. Ingeniously combining a relaxed atmosphere, music and art, an immensely popular gathering spot for winter sports fans and excursioners.

Allein die Auffahrt mit der Seilbahn zu den Restaurants mit Blick auf die beleuchtete Bergstadt Zell am See und die weiß-glänzenden Bergspitzen rundherum erzeugt Glücksgefühle und Vorfreude auf die kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten. Zur Premiere im Jänner kocht das Team rund um Edith und Peter Pfeffer in der modern gemütlichen AreitAlm auf. Im Februar begrüßt dann das Team des modern rustikal-geprägten „Franzl“ die Gäste auf 1.900 m zum abendlichen Genuss.

SCHMITTENHÖHE – THE FAMILY SKIING AREA FOR ENJOYABLE MOMENTS WITH A PANORAMIC VIEW Surrounded by magnificent panoramic views at 2,000 m and lots of space on broad slopes – that’s winter on Schmittenhöhe. The entrance to the ski resort, which can be reached using modern cable cars in Zell am See and in Viehhofen in Glemmtal, is easily accessible. Within a few minutes, winter sports enthusiasts find themselves on perfectly groomed and varied slopes.

Five long descents into the valley lure you in with extra-long skiing pleasure down to Zell am See. Numerous attractions such as the kidsslope, the funslope and the Audi Ski Run promise action, fun and excitement for the whole family. There are countless cabins and restaurants with spacious sun terraces and culinary delicacies where you can take a break.

SKI ’N’ BRUNCH AND THE NIGHT SLOPE – THE PERFECT OFFER FOR EARLY BIRDS AND NIGHT OWLS Even in the 2020/21 winter season, early birds have the option of conquering the freshly-groomed and untouched slopes every Thursday in January and February. In small, exclusive groups, Ski ’n’ Brunch participants await fun on the empty dream slopes with clear and fresh morning air, including sunrise at 2,000 m. At the subsequent brunch, participants can enjoy culinary delights, chat with other skiing enthusiasts, or get background information about the cable cars and ski resort first hand in a conversation with someone from the Schmitten management team.

Three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays), the night slope provides evening skiing pleasure as the perfect alternative for night owls, or indeed anyone who just hasn’t had enough skiing. The Ebenbergbahn turnstiles are open until 9 pm from 29th December until 26th February. In the dark of the night on the floodlit slope with the lights of the town below before you, the night slope offers you a really special skiing experience.

DINE LIKE ROYALTY ON THE FULL MOON AT THE “FRANZL” RESTAURANT AND IN THE AREITALM Connoisseurs who want something special can mark 28th January or 27th February 2021 in their calendars. The first moonlit dinners are taking place on the Schmittenhöhe on those evenings. The cable car journey up to the restaurant – with views of the illuminated mountain town of Zell am See and the gleaming white mountain tops all around – creates feelings of happiness and anticipation for the culinary delights. For the opening in January, the team around Edith and Peter Pfeffer will be cooking something up in the stylish and cozy AreitAlm. In February, the team at the modern but rustic-style “Franzl” restaurant will greet their guests for an evening of fun at 1,900 m.

AN ICE HOCKEY TRADITIONAL CLUB INTRODUCES ITSELF! Der EK Zell am See ist ein österreichischer Eishockeytraditionsklub, welcher 1928 gegründet wurde und seither mit Herz und Volldampf für Furore sorgt.

The EK Zell am See is a traditional Austrian ice hockey club, which was founded in 1928 and has been causing a sensation ever since.

Zur Geschichte: Der Eishockeyklub Zell am See ist einer der ältesten und traditionsreichsten Eishockeyklubs in Österreich. Bereits seit Mitte der 20iger Jahre wird in der Salzburger Bergstadt Eishockeyklub gespielt. Sechs österreichische Nationalliga Titel gehören zu den größten Erfolgen der Pinzgauer Kufencracks.

Viele große Eishockeyspieler erlernten den schnellsten und wohl auch schönsten Mannschaftssport der Welt beim EKZ. Besonders stolz ist man dabei, natürlich auf Thomas Vanek! Der ehemalige NHL Star und wohl erfolgreichste österreichische Eishockeyspieler aller Zeiten entsprang der Zeller Talenteschmiede!

Die Liga: Nach zuletzt großartigen Jahren in der Alps Hockey League, einer internationalen Liga mit Mannschaften aus Österreich, Italien und Slowenien, treten die Zeller Eisbären heuer in der AHC Division 1 an. Der Alps Hockey Cup ist die höchste rein national ausgetragene Spielklasse, in der die Zeller Eisbären als Titelfavorit an den Start gehen.

Was dürfen die Zuseher erwarten: Tolle, emotionsgeladene Spiele, in der 2600 Zuseher fassenden Eisbärenarena Zell am See sind in der heurigen Saison garantiert. Neben packender Eishockeyaction wird den Fans auch ein umfangreiches Entertainment Programm geboten, welches den Eishockeybesuch bei einem der Traditionsreichsten Eishockeyklubs der Alpenrepublik, für jeden Zuseher zum Erlebnis machen wird.

The Alps Hockey Cup is the highest purely national league in which the Zeller Eisbären are the title favorites.

What can the spectators expect: Great, emotionally charged games in the polar bear arena in Zell am See, which can hold 2,600 spectators, are guaranteed for this season. In addition to thrilling ice hockey action, fans are also offered an extensive entertainment programm, which will make a visit to one of the most traditional ice hockey clubs in the Alpine republic an experience for every viewer.

The story: The Zell am See ice hockey club is one of the oldest and most traditional ice hockey clubs in Austria. The traditional hockey club has been playing in the Salzburg mountain town since the middle of the 1920s. Six Austrian National League titles are among the greatest successes of the Zeller Polar Bears.

Many great ice hockey players learned the fastest and most beautiful team sport in the world at the EKZ. We are particularly proud of this, espescially of Thomas Vanek! The former NHL star and probably the most successful Austrian ice hockey player of all time came from the talent factory in Zell!

The statistics speak for themselves: 65 kilometres of downhill runs, 32 lifts, 12,400 metres of altitude difference. The ski circuit in the “Home of Lässig” can be managed by sporty skiers in around 7 hours (breaks not included). Challenge accepted? With these distances, “The Challenge” ranks at the top of the list of renowned ski circuits in the Alps and even outshines the “Sellaronda”, the “White Ring” or the “King’s Tour”.

You should allow around 7 hours to complete this challenging ski circuit in the Skicircus, which will lead you through the most versatile and extensive ski areas in Austria. The focus of this challenge is on sporting performance.

A lengthy stopover in one of the numerous mountain huts along the route, admiring panoramic views, or taking the chance to sunbathe should be postponed for the next day of skiing. A total of 32 lifts will need to be taken between Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang and Fieberbrunn on this ski marathon.

Von Pisten bis Loipen, von Skispringen bis Schneeschuhwandern, von rustikaler Hüttenkost bis Fine Dining und von Jazztagen bis Skimarathon – hier verbringt jeder seinen Urlaub frei nach dem Motto „so wie ich will“. Mit der Ski ALPIN CARD können Skifahrer nun nicht nur die Pisten des Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn abfahren, sondern auch noch jene der Skigebiete Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See und dem Gletscherskigebiet Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun: insgesamt 408 Pistenkilometer, 121 Anlagen und ein Maximum an Attraktionen.

Nicht-Skifahrer finden in Saalfelden Leogang ebenfalls ihr Winterglück. So bietet die Region rund 150 Loipenkilometer in allen Schwierigkeitsstufen inklusive zweier Nachtloipen. Im Nordic Park am Ritzensee kann man unter Anleitung das Langlaufen erlernen oder sich im Biathlon versuchen.

Saalfelden Leogang punktet besonders mit seinem kontrastreichen Panorama. Eine Wanderung oder Schneeschuhtour durch die glitzernde Winterlandschaft, aus der sich die schroffen Felsen des Steinernen Meers und der Leoganger Steinberge erheben, ist immer beeindruckend.

Wer gerne in aller Einsamkeit Ski fährt, geht eine Skitour oder nimmt am wöchentlichen Skitouren-Abend am Asitz teil. Zum Rodeln geht es in Leogang am Asitz auf „Leos Kufengaudi“, oder auf die sechs Kilometer lange Naturrodelbahn am Biberg in Saalfelden.

WINTER IN SAALFELDEN LEOGANG The Saalfelden Leogang region has a lot to offer in winter. From slopes to cross-country ski runs, from ski jumping to snowshoe hiking, from rustic mountain hut food to fine dining and from jazz days to ski marathons - everyone spends their holidays here freely according to the motto „just as I like“. With the Ski ALPIN CARD, skiers can now not only ski down the slopes of the Saalbach 4 Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn Ski Circus, but also those of the Schmittenhöhe ski area in Zell

am See and the Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun glacier ski area: a total of 408 kilometres of slopes, 121 lifts and a maximum of attractions.

Non-skiers will also find their winter luck in Saalfelden Leogang. The region offers around 150 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails of all levels of difficulty, including two night trails.

In the Nordic Park at Ritzensee you can learn cross-country skiing under guidance or try your hand at biathlon.

Es ist früh morgens und wir steigen voller Vorfreude in unser Auto. Vor uns liegt eine mehrstündige Autofahrt nach Österreich. Für unseren diesjährigen Skiurlaub haben wir uns etwas ganz besonderes einfallen lassen - ein Alpin Family Penthouse Hopping durch einige der besten Skigebiete der Alpen. Unsere ausgewählten Alpin Family Resorts liegen in genau den vier Skigebieten, die wir alle ganz einfach mit einem Skipass, der Ski Alpin Card, erkunden können. Nach mehreren Stunden sind wir mitten drin in den Bergen. Die graue, eintönige Autobahn verwandelt sich in eine idyllische Winterlandschaft. Endlich am Ziel!

It is early in the morning and we get into our car full of anticipation. Ahead of us lies a several hours drive to Austria. For this year‘s skiing holiday we have come up with something very special - an Alpin Family Penthouse Hopping through some of the best skiing areas in the Alps. Our selected Alpin Family Resorts are located in exactly four ski areas, which we can all easily explore with one ski pass, the Ski Alpin Card. After several hours we are right in the middle of the mountains. The grey, monotonous motorway turns into an idyllic winter landscape. We have finally reached our destination!

KAPRUN | KITZSTEINHORN & MAISKOGEL | 24 BY AVEN IDA Für unsere erste Station haben wir uns das 24 by AvenidA in Kaprun ausgesucht. Wir bringen unser Gepäck aufs Zimmer und sind fasziniert von der schicken alpinen Einrichtung unseres Penthouses. Sogar eine voll ausgestattete Küche gibt es hier! Wir entscheiden uns dazu, ein paar gemütliche Stunden im großen Wellnessbereich zu verbringen, bevor es zum Abendessen in das hoteleigene Restaurant “24 kitchen & bar” geht. Wir bestellen Sushi und Steaks - die Markenzeichen des Restaurants, und sind begeistert! Es schmeckt ausgezeichnet! Am nächsten Tag geht es nach dem reichhaltigen Frühstück endlich ab auf die Piste! Wir wollen die neue K-Konnection auf das Kitzsteinhorn testen. Eine beeindruckende Panoramabahn verbindet das Ortszentrum von Kaprun mit dem Gletscherskigebiet. Der Ausblick ist wirklich einzigartig. Am nächsten Tag ist ein weiterer Skitag am Kitzsteinhorn und am Maiskogel geplant, bevor es auch schon weiter zu unserer nächsten Station, in das Elements Resort Zell am See geht.

KAPRUN | KITZSTEINHORN & MAISKOGEL | 24 BY AVEN IDA For our first stop we chose the 24 by AvenidA in Kaprun. We take our luggage to our room and are fascinated by the chic alpine interior of our penthouse.

There is even a fully equipped kitchen!

We decide to spend a few cosy hours in the large wellness area before we try out the hotel‘s own restaurant „24 kitchen & bar“ for dinner. We order sushi and steaks - the trademarks of the restaurant, and are thrilled! It tastes excellent. The next day, after a rich breakfast, we finally hit the slope.! We want to test the new K-Konnection on the Kitzsteinhorn. An impressive panoramic lift connects the centre of Kaprun with the glacier ski area. The view is really unique. The next day we plan another day of skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn and Maiskogel before continuing on to our next stop, the Elements Resort Zell am See.

Helle Räume mit viel Holz und hochwertiger Dekoration sorgen für ein besonderes Ambiente. Nach dem Check-In wartet das Abendessen auf uns. Das drei Gänge Menü übertrifft unsere Erwartungen, genauso wie das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen. Heute steht die Schmittenhöhe auf unserem Programm. Der Einstieg in das Skigebiet ist nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Nach einem langen Tag auf der Piste freuen wir uns auf den schönen Wellnessbereich und den beheizten Outdoor Pool mit Inneneinstieg.

ZELL AM SEE | SCHM ITTENHÖHE | ELEMENTS RESORT We are impressed as soon as we enter the building! Everything is completely new and really stylishly furnished. Bright rooms with lots of wood and high-quality decoration create a special atmosphere.

After the check-in dinner is waiting for us. The three-course menu exceeds our expectations, as does the breakfast the next morning. Today the Schmittenhöhe is on our programme and the entrance to the ski area is only a few minutes‘ walk away. After a long day on the slopes we are looking forward to the beautiful wellness area and the heated outdoor pool with indoor access.

Sehr empfehlenswert für alle Liebhaber der gehobenen Küche! Der nächste Tag führt uns in den Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn mit unglaublichen 270 Pistenkilometern! Unser Aufenthalt in Hinterglemm reicht nicht annähernd, um das ganze Skigebiet zu erkunden - umso besser, dass unser nächstes und letztes Penthouse in Leogang auch im Skicircus liegt, sogar direkt an der Piste!

The facilities leave nothing to be desired! A bar, 2 different restaurants, fitness room, wellness area with several saunas and pool are just some of the many offers. We are really impressed. But our highlights are the private sauna and the outdoor bathtub in our penthouse. In the evening we decide to go to the fine dining restaurant Mirror at Glemm. Highly recommended for all lovers of fine dining! The next day takes us to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn with unbelievable 270 kilometres of slopes! Our stay in Hinterglemm is nowhere near enough to explore the whole ski area - so much the better that our next and last penthouse in Leogang is also in the Skicircus, even right on the slopes!

LEOGANG | SKICIRCUS SAALBACH H INTERGLEMM LEOGANG FIEBERBRUNN | STOCKINGGUT BY AVEN IDA Das Stockinggut by AvenidA hat wirklich die perfekte Lage für unseren Skiurlaub. Nach einem ausgezeichneten Abendessen entscheiden wir uns dazu, den Tag in unserer Privat-Sauna und anschließend vor dem gemütlichen Kaminfeuer in unserem Penthouse ausklingen zu lassen. Am nächsten Morgen wollen wir früh los und die Ersten auf der frisch präparierten Piste sein. Direkt vor dem Resort schnallen wir unsere Skier an, fahren ein paar hundert Meter zur Steinbergbahn hinunter und schaffen es so tatsächlich, als einer der Ersten am Berg zu sein! Die Aussicht ist grandios und die

Abfahrten machen richtig Spaß. Wir sind definitiv im Skifahrerhimmel angekommen.

Schade, dass es morgen schon wieder nach Hause geht. Wir kommen wieder!

LEOGANG | SKICIRCUS SAALBACH H INTERGLEMM LEOGANG FIEBERBRUNN | STOCKINGGUT BY AVEN IDA The Stockinggut by AvenidA really has the perfect location for our skiing holiday.

After an excellent dinner we decide to end the day in our private sauna and relax in front of the cosy open fire place in our penthouse. The next morning we want to leave early and be the first on the freshly prepared slopes. Directly in front of the resort we strap on our skis, ski down a few hundred metres to the Steinberg cable car and actually manage to be one of the first on the mountain! The view is terrific and the descents are really fun. We have definitely arrived in skiers heaven. It‘s a pity that we‘ll be going home again tomorrow. We will be back soon!
