* Proposals that require the full board may take up to 120 Days for review *

Partner makes proposal in writing to ASCTE designated representative within Ninety (60) days of notice of funding deadline or NLT Jan 1 for appropriations requests.

Subject Matter Experts review for mission fit, scope, and technical constraints.

SMEs either approve and submit the request to the Federal Task Force Committee, or reject the proposal.

The Federal Task Force Committee will review the submitted request and either approve for the Executive Committee or reject

The Executive Committee meets once a month and is authorized to act for the board of trustees

The Executive Committee will review the request and either approve and authorize the action, reject the request, or place the request up for a vote with the full board

The board releases authorization in writing to designated parties to participate in the grant / appropriations request on behalf of the ASCTE

Questions to Consider:

Does request fit within the overall mission of the ASCTE, “To ensure that all students achieve high levels of learning to be successful while implementing cyber protections into the engineering lifecycle”?

Does the submission request support the ASCTE’s charter, “to assist teachers, administrators, and superintendents across the state in replicating cyber technologies and engineering studies within their own schools”?

Grants:

Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and deadline

Application requirements

Executive Summary of support requested from ASCTE

Submitted in writing NLT 60 days before NOFO deadline

Appropriations:

Request summary (proposed language, dollar amount, and congressional office)

Project description, budget breakout, period of performance

Explanation of why the effort is a good use of tax funds

Submitted in writing NLT JAN 1st
