ALWAYS STANDING UP Is a very definite action of all poetry. Because if a person willingly puts their thoughts down on paper, it’s always a true point of personal pride to do so, regardless of whatever it is you took time to put down. Because whenever you’ve been able to concentrate long enough, to actually write down your thoughts—or even feelings— you always obtain that spunk, chutzpah, pride in your accomplishment.
ROCKS Some are small and some are so big they’re called mountains. But if it’s big and you must get to the other side, you have to be a climber or a hiker. Because you know one way or another you must get to the other side. But the size of it doesn’t really matter because it’s only a stepping stone. Sure, life is abundantly full of rocks—but don’t let any of them be too big for you. Now that you’ve finally got past that one, sooner or later, you’re going to come across another stone that has to be stepped on.
