EVOLUTION

The headaches and dizziness are an adventure. Adrenaline pumping. Always an adventure. It can be painful with a full circle. The tides are high and the waves too rough. Sometimes overhead can be suffocating, overwhelming. The breath of the beach and the smell of the sea seem so peaceful, though. The ocean and sky are such a true blue. But the pollution in the air… Evolve in the water, and the fish, they squirm for safety. The birds flock together in all weather and escape the madness of being tortured. Feeding them in abundance can make them sick. Resisting them will make them extinct. The harmonious gathering, flock of friends sticks together. Above ground, high to the sky, to below, low earth. There is trouble in Paradise.

NEW YORK

New York is like a playground for grown-ups and children. Times Square and the times really changed since I was younger. It is like a mini-Disney World. Sponge Bob asking for change is a crime. And Cookie Monster almost hitting a kid because his mom did not pay him…a dime—that is a crime. Everyone laughing and smiling is a good sight to see. This is the place to be. The holidays and the big Christmas tree. The crowd, being loud, stirs up a scare. But people have no fear. Where there are bargains and discounts, energy still mounts. The air, the flare, tourists stay. Nobody is going away. The bright lights and the glamour, Beyoncé’s song, New York. One train ride from the other boroughs can bring some joy and relieve sorrows. The MTA may lead you astray, but NY is here to stay.
