KINDNESS

For me, there is no other way. Kindness takes hardly any effort at all. It is spontaneous, automatic, and all that I need— necessary for my self-esteem. I find that kindness is a natural act that comes so easily for me: I don’t have to think about it, study it, or memorize it. I don’t have to pass a test to validate me.
I also know the feeling of loss, or something dissipating and realize that it is only a temporary situation. Kindness makes me smile and feel euphoric. It puts me on an automatic high. Sometimes, kindness leaves me feeling overwhelmed and sometimes so surprised, but grateful to realize that all people are not bad.
