You need: A deck of cards (52 cards) Before reading

What type of game is this? Have you played this game before?

1 Sit in a circle. Shuffle and deal the cards: • If four players or less: deal 7 cards to each player. • If five players or more: deal 5 cards to each player. 2 The remaining cards are placed face down and become

“the ocean”. Players must get a set of four cards to get a point. 3 Player A starts “fishing” and asks B for a certain card. 4 If B has the card, B must give it to A. If not, B says, “Go fish.” A must then pick up a card from “the ocean”. 5 It is now the next player’s turn. The game ends when there are no more fish in the ocean. The player with the most points wins. NB: If a player runs out of cards during the game, they can fish a card from the ocean when it is their turn.
