Prepositions can tell us where things are: in front of, behind, in, out, inside, outside, under, between, next to, over, on.

The tadpoles are in the jar. The snail is between his legs. The hedgehog is behind the gardener. The gardener is going to the greenhouse. The gardener’s wife is inside the greenhouse.
