Enrolment in the 2023 Autumn AHA program opens for Ascham families on Monday 20 March and external students on Wednesday 22 March 2023

General Information

Age guidelines

A student’s age/year group is taken as of the current calendar year. Activities will be split into age-appropriate groups (numbers permitting) Prep programs are for students aged 4 and older who start Kindergarten in 2024

Covid19

Procedures are in place to support both students and staff during this time

Students may be subject to temperature checks on arrival, program numbers are limited and any students who present with cold or flu symptoms will not be permitted to attend the AHA

Location

All holiday programs take place at the Fiona Campus of Ascham School Entry is off 188 New South Head Road, Edgecliff.

Drop off and pick up

All students attending the programs should enter the School via the New South Head Road gates and proceed around the carpark A car line will operate from 8.30am (for drop off) and 3.30–4pm (for pick up)

Timing

AHA programs run from 9am–3 30pm daily Please ensure participants arrive, check-in and are collected on time

Medical conditions

Medical conditions should be disclosed at the point of booking and action plans, or relevant documentation, forwarded to the AHA Manager.

What to bring

All participants are to wear appropriate clothing, including a hat for when outside, and closed-in shoes All children must bring their own morning tea, lunch and drinks Additional required items will be advised the week prior to your child’s activities.

Photo permission

Photographs may be taken by AHA staff and may be used for Ascham publications, on the website and social media If you do not wish your child’s photograph to be used, please notify at the time of booking

Triple Play

Years K–6

Tue 11 April 9am–3.30pm $90

Triple Play consists of three fun and different activities which may include sport, art, cooking, dance, STEM or drama No two Triple Play days are the same with each activity designed to engage and excite participants Groups will be split into age-appropriate activities (numbers permitting)

Artist for a Day

Today is all about you, yourself, and your selfie! Use three different mediums to explore the art of self-portraiture, creating unique artworks that are reflective of who you are Let your personality and creativity shine and your imagination run free!

Let your inner-performer shine bright! StarTime’s fun version of the ‘blind auditions’ is flipped on its head when your mentor will plead for you to be on their team You will learn proper microphone technique and the latest hip hop choreography Sing your favourite songs and learn performance techniques so you can battle it out in our lunchtime talent quests Fun for all!

Senior School Musical Theatre with Rachael Beck

Years 7-12

Mon 17 & Tue 18 April 9am–3.30pm $240

Explore Musical Theatre with Australia’s own Rachael Beck and a special guest! This 2-day intensive gives you an insight into a wide range of Musical Theatre disciplines including story through song, scene work from musicals, building a character, dance for stage and how to smash an audition Plus learn a sequence from a currently touring Musical Theatre artist
