Enrolment in the 2023 Spring AHA program opens for Ascham families on Monday 28 August and external students on Wednesday 30 August, 2023

General Information

Age guidelines

A student’s age/year group is taken as of the current calendar year. Activities will be split into age-appropriate groups (numbers permitting) Prep programs are for students aged 4 and older who start Kindergarten in 2024

Covid19

Procedures are in place to support both students and staff during this time

Students may be subject to temperature checks on arrival, program numbers are limited and any students who present with cold or flu symptoms will not be permitted to attend the AHA

Location

All holiday programs take place at the Fiona Campus of Ascham School Entry is off 188 New South Head Road, Edgecliff.

Drop off and pick up

All students attending the programs should enter the School via the New South Head Road gates and proceed around the carpark A car line will operate from 8.30am (for drop off) and 3.30–4pm (for pick up)

Timing

AHA programs run from 9am–3 30pm daily Please ensure participants arrive, check-in and are collected on time

Medical conditions

Medical conditions should be disclosed at the point of booking and action plans, or relevant documentation, forwarded to the AHA Manager.

What to bring

All participants are to wear appropriate clothing, including a hat for when outside, and closed-in shoes All children must bring their own morning tea, lunch and drinks Additional required items will be advised the week prior to your child’s activities.

Photo permission

Photographs may be taken by AHA staff and may be used for Ascham publications, on the website and social media If you do not wish your child’s photograph to be used, please notify at the time of booking

Senior School Service Excursion

Years 7 - 12

Join us in service of our community preparing meals for the homeless through our partnership with Kids Giving Back Learn life-long skills as you are mentored by private chefs to cook for those most in need

Triple Play

Triple Play consists of three fun and different activities which may include sport, art, cooking, dance, STEM or drama No two Triple Play days are the same with each activity designed to engage and excite participants Groups will be split into ageappropriate activities (numbers permitting)

STEAM Mad About Science

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with dance industry experts as you workshop different styles which could include Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre Groups will be split into smaller age groups and students will participate in 3 different workshop styles If you love to dance, this day is not to be missed!

Senior School Taste of Italy

Cooking Class

The focus of this workshop is making your own pasta, mastering different pasta shapes, and then cooking and teaming it with a flavour-packed sauce. You will also learn how to make a traditional Italian bread, gnocchi, panzanella salad and, of course, tiramisu! The day is filled with practical tips and cooking techniques We will also share food Italian way - sitting down with your friends to enjoy the delicious food that you’ve made

StarTime Olympic Champions

Have fun competing in our high energy traditional team sports to build confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork. Our Olympic face off challenges is guaranteed to engage active minds and bodies in our; mini soccer games, water balloon wars (in Winter we use flour), parachute challenges and sporting games with a twist The team who collaborates and strategises the most effectively will take out the coveted World Games Statue!
