YearBookDedication

The yearbook dedication is an annual event where we celebrate a staff or faculty member for giving to the school. We pick one staff or faculty member to dedicate the year book to. It shows our appreciation for that staff or faculty member and this year our dedication went to Mrs.DP.

Mrs.DPhas been serving this school for 30 years. She does things for the school that she doesn't have to do to improve the 4th grade experience for her students. She's there when needed helping her students in kind ways. She's also our school story teller and her favorite story is cutting the cord your going to have to talk to her for more but she’ll have always have a hug and kiss when you need one

ThankyouMrs.Ellmaker|

Interviews with the Seniors

Q: What college did you decide to attend and why?

Marina: I'm going to be attending Kent State University. I mainly decided to go there because it is close to a lot of my family. Kent State also has an amazing program for my major.

Victoria: American university because I like the DC area and they have good programs in computer science.

Mollie: I am attending Stetson University in the fall. Honestly when I visited the campus during my junior year, I fell in love with everything they had to offer. And they have a beautiful campus.

Q: Do you know what you are choosing to major in? If so , why did you choose it?

Marina: I will be majoring in Visual Communication Design which is like marketing, advertising and graphic design combined. I chose it because I've always loved being creative and also loved looking at cool advertisements, billboards etc.

Mollie: I am majoring in Marine Biology in college. I really like marine animals, as you know since I visited your class to talk about some of my interests. Additionally, I believe it is a career path where I will have the most success and enjoy the most.

Victoria: computer science and minor economics like computer science and problem solving and I would like to figure out a way to use all of those things together.

Q: What is it like being a senior?

Marina: Being a senior is really fun, you get a lot of cool opportunities and fun experiences like senior prank day, senior sunrise, going on outings with your friends and so much more! While sometimes it can be scary, it’s fun to be in your last year and think about what’s next in life.

Mollie: Being a senior is very fun, there is a lot of freedom that comes with getting older. However, my classes are still very challenging and I took on a lot of responsibilities, so that part isn't fun. Being able to have fun with my friends and almost being in college is very exciting though.

Q: What are some experiences you get at Allendale Columbia that you can get at a regular school?

Marina: There are so many experiences that you get at Allendale Columbia that you wouldn't get at a regular school. Just some things would be the style of learning in the classrooms, the close connections, the beautiful campus and the cool trips you can go on like Pathfinder.

Mollie: Something I believe that I can get at AC but not at a public school is having a tight knit community within my grade. I also do not believe I would have as close of a relationship with my teachers if I attended a public school.
