HOMENA JE AL ÁRBOL TRIBUTE TO THE TREE María José Ibargüen Kipps
Un breve catálogo fotográfico para celebrar al árbol en su mes A brief photo catalog to celebrate the tree in its month

Rendir homenaje al árbol es rendir homenaje a la naturaleza. Mi tributo se realiza a través de la fotografía, a la que me he dedicado con consciencia del entorno y con amor al planeta y sus obsequios a nuestros sentidos.
Tal como dice Franklin D. Roosevelt, velar por los bosques determina la calidad de nuestras vidas, por tal motivo creo que los árboles son nuestros compañeros permanentes y nuestros amigos que guarecen no sólo del sol, sino que nos obsequian con frutos, aves y sus cantos y diversidad en tonalidades de verde y colores vivos. El escritor alemán Hermann Hesse, escribió “Quien sabe cómo hablar con los árboles, quien sabe cómo escucharlos, puede aprender la verdad. No predican el aprendizaje y los preceptos, predican, sin inmutarse por detalles, la antigua ley de la vida.” Y mi diálogo con los árboles ha sido permanente, desde niña. Las fotografías que presento en este breve catálogo, las tomé en África, en la República de Botswana, la isla de la Réunion, isla del archipiélago de las Mascareñas con estatus de departamento de ultramar francés, en el océano Índico y por supuesto, en Iztapa, Guatemala. “El árbol de la vida” en todas las culturas, representa la regeneración y los ciclos vitales que respeta la cultura Maya. Y cada árbol de estas imágenes, es un homenaje a la vida, a través de la frondosidad y fuerza de cada árbol así estén colmados de follaje, o desnudos de hojas debido al clima. To pay homage to the tree is to pay homage to nature. My tribute is done through photography, to which I have dedicated myself with awareness of the environment and with love for the planet and its gifts to our senses.
As Franklin D. Roosevelt says, watching over the forests determines the quality of our lives, for this reason I believe that trees are our permanent companions and our friends who shelter not only from the sun, but also give us fruits, birds with their songs and its foliage diversity in shades of green and bright colors. The German writer Hermann Hesse wrote "Who knows how to talk to trees, who knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, without flinching for details, the ancient law of life. "And my dialogue with trees has been permanent, ever since I was a child. I took these photographs in Africa, in the Republic of Botswana, the island of Reunion, island of the Mascarene archipelago with status of French overseas department, in the Indian Ocean and of course, in Iztapa , Guatemala. "The tree of life" in all cultures represents the regeneration and life cycles that the Mayan culture respects. MARIA JOSÉ IBARGÜEN KIPPS Y SU REGISTRO FOTOGRÁFICO MEMORABLE El enfoque fotográfico de Maria José Ibargüen Kipps es el que define su texto visual y brinda la primera orientación al observador en su mirada. Ella determina no sólo la escena física sino también el ángulo en el que será percibida, proponiendo una visión ampliada, apoyada por las tonalidades de la luz, que las elige según su objetivo, no por casualidad. La formación de María José ha sido vasta, con varios cursos profesionales de fotografía, pero inició de forma autodidacta, lo que le permitió investigar a fondo cada paso de sus percepciones a través del lente de la vida, paralelo al lente de sus cámaras Canon 7D Mark II y 5D Mark IV, cuyas funciones le permiten un encuadre impactante, que es el que define la lectura de sus árboles y el espacio invisible de nuestras emociones, fuera de campo. En este sentido, su fotografía es un espacio de representación total, que nos incluye en su mirada, baste leer su presentación en este catálogo del homenaje al árbol, para comprender su intención que va más allá de lo evidente. Maria José ha recibido ya varios reconocimientos internacionales, uno de ellos LensCulture Emerging Artist, donde recibió una felicitación por el uso de los colores. En LensCulture Street Photography los curadores la calificaron en alto puntaje y Nat Geo en #MiMomentoEarthLive , también la felicitó. Ha publicado artículos con sus fotografías en una revista Salvadoreña.
Sus fotografías son un mensaje acerca del acontecimiento que registran, en este caso, sobre el árbol asociado a la fertilidad, longevidad vida en movimiento y vinculación con el cielo, la tierra y cada una de nuestras vidas. Los árboles perennes son símbolo de inmortalidad y los vetustos, se vinculan con nuestro ciclo vital. Su homenaje no es sólo un tributo a la naturaleza, sino es una invitación para que nuestras percepciones se fascinen con su poder simbólico. Gracias María José. MARIA JOSÉ IBARGÜEN KIPPS AND HER MEMORABLE PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORD The photographic approach of Maria José Ibargüen Kipps is what defines her visual content and provides the first orientation to the observer in her gaze. It determines not only the physical scene but also the angle at which it will be perceived, proposing an enlarged vision, supported by the tonalities of light, a choice according to her intention, not by chance. María José studied with several professional photographers, but her initial self-taught vision allowed her to thoroughly investigate each step of her perceptions through the lens of life, parallel to the lens of her Canon 7D Mark II and 5D Mark IV cameras, whose functions allow a striking frame, which is what defines the reading of her trees and the invisible space of our emotions, outside the field. In this sense, her photography is a space of total representation, which includes us in her eyes, when we read her text presentation in this catalog of the homage to the tree, we can understand her intention that goes beyond the obvious. Maria José has already received several international recognitions, one of them was given by LensCulture Emerging Artist, where curators congratulate her for the use of colors. In LensCulture Street Photography the curators rated her in high score and Nat Geo in #MiMomentoEarthLive, also congratulated her. She has published articles with her photographs in a magazine from El Salvador. Her photographs are a message about the event they record, in this case, about the tree associated with fertility, longevity, life in movement and links with the sky, the earth and each of our lives. Perennial trees are a symbol of immortality and ancient trees are linked to our life cycle.
