PORTRAIT to PERSEVERANCE

This panel celebrates artisanal mastery through a botanical representation of extraordinary elegance and technical complexity, entirely crafted in premiumfirst-qualityleather.

The work depicts a ginkgo branch, a millennial tree laden with symbolic meanings in Eastern cultures, interpreted here through a hand-crafted high relief technique that transforms the material into a true three-dimensional sculpture.

The composition is constructed through individually created and applied modules: the branches are made of soft sheepskin, skillfully modeled to convey a sensation of naturalness and movement. Each ginkgo leaf - a symbol of resilience and longevity - has been meticulously shaped, handpainted, and sewn onto the branches, creating an effect of incredible realismandrefinement.

The background, made of smooth bovine leather, serves as a neutral and luminous canvas that enhances the three-dimensionality of the inlaid branches. Sustainability of NATURAL LEATHER

Leather processing represents one of the oldest examplesofsustainablerecyclinginhumanhistory. Since prehistoric times, our ancestors have demonstrated deep wisdom and respect in the completeutilizationofanimalresources, developing tanning techniques that have reached our days, perfected but substantially unchanged in their essence. It's fundamental to dispel a widespread misconception: thetanning industry does not

determine the killing of animals for leather production.Onthecontrary, itispartofavirtuous cyclerecoveringandennoblingfoodindustrywaste. This process represents one of the most efficient recycling systems in modern industry: without leatherprocessing, millionsoftonsoforganicwaste would need to be disposed of through alternative methods, with a significant negative environmental impact.

Italymaintainsanabsoluteleadershippositioninthe tanning sector, representing 65% of European production and 23% of global production. Italian tanningdistricts, particularlythoseinTuscanyand Veneto, have developed a production model that combines artisanal tradition and technological innovation.Themasteryofartisans, asinthecaseof Artèpura, is passed down from generation to generation, preserving an invaluable heritage of knowledge.

Quality genuine leather necessarily comes from animals raised in optimal conditions. Intensive farming cannot provide first-choice leather, as animal welfare directly reflects on raw material quality. Italian tanneries have developed cuttingedge production processes respecting the environment, favoringtraditionalvegetabletanning techniquesandimplementingsystemsforreducing waterfootprint.Greatattentionispaidtoprocessing waste recycling and emissions reduction, in a perspective of perfect integration with the local economy.

Inthisvirtuouschain,Artèpurapositionsitselfasa transformer and fundamental final link. So-called "eco-leathers" and synthetic materials, often presented as ecological alternatives, hide a very different reality. These are petroleum-derived products, whose production process has a high environmental impact. Real leather requires processingthatcannotbecompletelyindustrialized. The selection, cutting, and processing of leather require the expert eye and skilled hand of the artisan.Thisexpertisetranslatesintoextraordinary qualityproductsthatimproveovertime.
