INTO THE WOODS I. Photography, 16" x 20"

Kathy Dee In my photos “Into the Woods”, I wanted to show a feeling of mystery and isolation. Walking in the winter snow can give us a feeling of being alone. The animals are in hibernation, the birds have left and all you have is yourself and the trees. There is no wind. It is quiet. You are left to ponder your own soul. The midst all around gives us a surreal effect as to what is reality? Is it what we see or is there something hidden beyond the fog? What is real? Do we have the courage to walk towards the distant midst or do we remain safe in the foreground? There are many questions we can ask ourselves in life. Sometimes we chose to explore life and we feel the confidence to seek out the unknown. Other times, we want to feel safe and avoid challenging ourself. Sometimes we regret those adventures and then other times we regret failing to take those steps. This time, what will you decide? www.KathyDeePhoto.com
