VCI poly lm safeguards metal from rust and corrosion in two ways. It not only provides a physical barrier that keeps metal parts clean and free from moisture, dust and contaminants, VCI lm also releases its rust-eradicating vapor corrosion inhibitor (a.k.a., VCI) to form a blanket of protection on the surface of metal that is only 2-3 molecules thick. VCI lm can be manufactured in many forms including rolls, sheets, VCI bags or tubing and it is an easy-to-use, clean and dry packaging option for metal and metal parts.
VCI lm is created when linear, low density polyethylene (poly lm) is impregnated with vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) but take note, there’s no birds-and-the-bees twist to this union — instead, the result is VCI lm.
To prevent rust using VCI lm, wrap metal/metal parts in VCI lm or place them in a VCI poly bag and seal — there’s no messy grease or oil to apply. Once metal/metal parts are enclosed, the VCI activates to form a layer of protection on the surface of the metal parts that displaces moisture and repels rust.

And yet, when Kraft paper is combined or infused with VCI (which stands for vapor corrosion inhibitors) this lightweight paper is transformed into a heavyweight ghter in the battle against rust and its trail of destruction.
ARMOR WRAP® VCI paper is a clean, dry packaging material designed for the protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. When metal parts are wrapped or enclosed in VCI paper, VCIs activate and ll up the vapor space inside the packaging. The VCI ions form a shield of protection on the surface of metal that displaces moisture and repels rust.

An emitter is something that gives o , or sends out, a substance. Vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI) are a type of compound used to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals from rust and corrosion. When you combine the two, the result is (you guessed it) a VCI Emitter — a device designed to protect enclosed metal and metal parts from the evils of rust. VCI emitters use a range of carriers, such as polyether foam or chipboard, to host the VCI for use in various rust-prevention applications.
Additionally, the ARMOR SMARTY PAK™ is a super-charged, multi-tasking, rust-preventing powerhouse.
