For over 40 years, The Salvation Army of Livingston County has faithfully served the community while working from a temporary building, hidden in a Howell neighborhood, which is not easily accessible to those in need. The facility is aged, extremely small, and in desperate need of repair. The work The Salvation Army has done over the years is incredible, to say the least. The sta has sacrificed and always found a way to get the job done.
Through the generous support of donors, this past year, The Salvation Army was able to purchase a building on Dorr Rd., between Howell and Brighton. Plans are underway to renovate this space to become the new home of The Salvation Army Church and Social Services. We ask for your continued support of their great work by contributing to The Great Pumpkin Classic Car Show, the red kettles during the Christmas season, and throughout the year with your generous donations of volunteer time and money.
The Salvation Army o ers many programs leading to self-su ciency. These include the Pathway of Hope—a formalized, innovative program helping families tackle economic challenges head-on to end the cycle of poverty. The program directly influences clients in terms of housing, financial literacy, job searches, education, and counseling. They also provide clothing distribution, a food pantry, homeless assistance, utilities support and much more.
Please help us pave the way to self-su ciency to create a pathway to human dignity by picking up a pledge form and prayerfully considering your contribution. Visit www.Pathwaytodignitylc.org. Your support can be the di erence in the lives of so many families in need.
