News from Arlesey Toddler Group

Arlesey Toddler Group are a friendly group of parents and childcarers who meet every Thursday morning in term-time in Arlesey Village Hall.

We have enjoyed an exciting term of themed sessions, allowing the children to play, learn and explore.

Towards the end of last term we enjoyed Jungle Week and then held a Teddy Bear’s picnic! The children brought along their favourite teddies to enjoy a picnic, story and singing, and the children made their own teddy ears so they really looked the part. Then for ‘flowers and plants’ week, the children planted sunflowers and made Mother’s Day cards with pasta flowers. We finished the term with an Easter party The hall was decorated, the bouncy castle enjoyed and the party finished with an Easter Egg hunt which the children loved.

We began the new term in April with a pirate theme. The craft involved making handprint pirates and snack time involved edible pirate ships with pieces of fruit. Last week we explored under the sea. A sandy messy tray, paper plate fish craft and of course bubbles!

We have some exciting plans for the rest of the term including celebrating the jubilee and a summer party. In addition to craft, messy play, singing, story time and snack time, we have a large range of toys available to appeal to all ages from newborn to age 5. All parents and carers of under 5s are welcome to come along any week, for just £3 per household (including all activities, snacks and tea/coffee). If you’d like to try it, ask to join ‘Arlesey Toddler Group’ on facebook to register and for further information.

We are a friendly group and welcome new members to join the fun. We are also looking for more volunteers to help prepare tea, coffee and snacks, register members at the door or help set up. Please get in touch on facebook or text 07913976675 if you can help, even occasionally!
